I play on Veteran and can't hit very well. I'm slightly late on just about every fastball. I can't decide if I just suck or it's input lag from my TV.

Or maybe you're just old as I am. LOL! I'm on veteran and I can't hit worth a lick right now.

To hard to hit, to easy to hit. The fact is this game actually caters very well to everyone and they are called sliders. My advice is to use them to either make it easier or more difficult. Pitches to slow ? speed them up. Fielders have cannon arms? lower arm strength. Too many HR's lower power and solid hits. etc, etc, etc.

They are there for a reason. The default settings can't work for everyone.

update - i switched to HOF and its like playing on all star last year. going 1-4 and 2-4 now instead of 4-4 etc..

I had to increase the pitch speed by one because I was early on every fastball. Very strange.

I just finished my season opener game against the Tigers and won 19-2. I had 23 hits. I was having too much fun to mess with the sliders to make it harder. I'll do that before my next game. But this was fun. I had 5 homeruns and 10 doubles.

HOF feels just like AS from last year. I think they decreased the difficulty down 1 notch for every setting. Veteran feels like Rookie, AS feels like Veteran, HOF feels like AS, etc.

Pitch speed was slowed down on default this year. I imagine most people will eventually be moving it up. 6 still seems a little slow to me; I might move it up to 7.

What would a good pitch speed in order to have more grounders to the infield and less fly balls to the outfield. So far I've had numerous players with 3 home run games plus Travis Hafner and John Freakin' Jay have both hot 4 home runs already.

For me hitting is just right last year I would strike out 13 times per game now maybe 7

For me increasing the pitch speed helped, feels more like '12 now.

Am I the only one who thinks the hitting is pretty solid? I have had games where I strike out 11-13 times. And I have had games where I score 8 runs and strike out 2-3 times.

Hitting on the Vita is pretty tough, though. I regularly K 10 times. I play on ALL-STAR on both.

At first I was waaaaaaaaaaaaay early on everything. On 99 MPH fastballs I was too early.

I moved the pitch speed up as far as it would go, and now I've been able to get my timing down a little better.

I think the hitting is pretty fair. So far I've played an ALDS Series that went 5 games. I won games 1 and 2 by a close score, I lost games 3 and 4 by 1 run, and game 5 I won by blow out. So in 5 games there, that's a very good variety of results and seems pretty fair.

I'm getting plenty of groundballs. I already got that trophy for getting so many groundball outs in a game.
