Does anyone have sliders that help this. All star hitting, pitching, pitch speed at 8, sliders left at default and its home run derby!!!

My question is if the AI still has a different approach for All-Star and above, I've always been able to handle veteran and that's it, but the AI pounds the strike zone, so I don't walk, in addition to being a free swinger. However, I feel my free swinging is in part because, there's no reason to take pitches on Vet, the AI even with sliders set to make the AI more wild, will always pound the zone, once I get to 3 balls, I know I'm swining before a 4th ball is called, because the next pitch is going to be a strike, barring a literal wild pitch that gets by the catcher.

So, I'm thinking with this years opening up of the hitting window, and the slowing down of pitch speeds, that I might be able to handle All-Star, but was wondering if the "approach" of the AI has it's changeover at All-Star like before, or not.

I'm no trying to kiss a** here but the dev's gave most of you what you wanted...and still complaints complaits complaits.

Im sorry, but all I see in this forum is complaints all the time!...lets make it useful again.

For those who think hitting is too easy, are you using zone hitting (where you time the ball and also pick the location its in) or are you just using one of the timed hitting methods?

I think just timing the ball is super easy but I do find more of a challenge when using zone hitting.

Have you considered that maybe it's not the same people complaining on both sides of the coin? That maybe it's two different sets of people? Nah, that couldn't be it.

Wow, I have the opposite problem. My games tend to be low scoring. I'm batting around .270 on All-Star with Pitch Speed at 7 and Pitching on HoF difficulty. I have a 3.14 ERA. It's taking longer than I thought to get my swing back. I really regret not playing 12 the last 4 months.

If you are giving up that many runs you may want to change the pitching difficulty to Veteran.

Hitting is to easy on All-Star.

That's why I went up to HOF.

And if HOF is too easy, I'll try Legend.

And if Legend is too easy.. Well, then maybe I would consider making a thread like this...

Im tearing the cover off the ball, with the Cubs. That should say it all.

Better yet I'm tearing the cover off the ball with the Mets...go figure...4 HRs in one game. At least the right people were knocking them out the park (Davis and Wright). Yes, this game seems easier this year...even on HoF. The Batting AI just doesn't seem "right". I don't seem to get those intense feelings or situations I have experienced in previous editions of the game...I've only played about 8 games so far so hopefully my opinion will change, but surely something does feel different about this year.

I've only scored 1, 3 and 6 runs in the games I've played so far. I think this year, when you make contact it's generally better, however I'm still getting our on a lot ground balls.

My answer is up the difficulty if you are legitimately finding hitting too easy over a couple of dizen games. If it's just because you've had a few high scoring games then you have too small a sample size for it to be a legit grievance.

I don't bat on the hardest difficulty but if some people say its too easy that's what Legend and HoF are for.

I can't find a happy place.. On veteran the game is no challenge because the pitcher gives you a ton of good pitches to hit.

On all star im getting around 2 to 3 runs per game and stranding a ton of guys left on base.. Anyone have any ideas because im last in RBI and batting avg just like in MLB12

It's not that hard to imagine. The pitch speed is a lot slower this year. I imagine anyone who played on All-Star last year will have a much easier time this year on All-Star. Not having to worry about inside fastballs going by helps a lot. That's why a lot of people are adjusting the pitch speed to 7 or 8.
