The point is I have to throw more balls, try to paint the corners, and really pitch like a mlb pitcher would or my era will be like John Danks spring era. I love the White Sox but he has me a little worried. Anyways, my strike % is now in the 60's and I am walking more hitters. Never thought that would happen. This game is amazing!
I am currently using Classic All-star with 4/4 for human pitch sliders thanks to slthree but I would like to try out Meter for kicks. I just never found it a challenge, could you type your human pitching/cpu batting sliders if you dont mind?

Hum Pitch Control and Consistency are both at 3
CPU cotact and power are at 5. CPU timing is at 4.
CPU foul is at 2 and CPU solid hits are at 3.

I have had a few wild pitches, whichI never had last year. But nothing crazy. Hope that helps.

I agree that pitching on HOF is a welcome challenge, but it's been tuned to such a ridiculous extreme that it saps most of the fun out of it.

For example, last night with C Kershaw pitching, the CPU swung and missed 5 times the entire game. I think over the last 7 or 8 games, I'm averaging 4 K's/9 innings, and I throw lots of pitches outside the zone/ walk plenty of batters, so it's not like I pound the strike zone. I'm using PsychoBulk's sliders, which are very close to default.

I've never had this much trouble getting swings and misses before.

That's interesting. Maybe put CPU timing to 4 and CPU foul frequency to 2? Last night with Zimmerman (Nats) I had 10 k's thru 7 inn. And they were chasing some crazy pitches. Lower foul frequency might help the most. Not sure what PsycoBulk is using.

I've only played 3 games so far, but I'm not having any trouble drawing walks (3 against Jacob Turner of the Marlins in 6 innings, 2 against Edinson Volquez of the Padres in 6 innings).

Foul Frequency has nothing to do with swings and misses. Timing and Contact are your best bet. I too am attempting to pitch on Hall of Fame. Lowering the CPU Contact slider by 1 point was literally the first thing I did.

MLB The Show 13. She sure is a glitchy one.
