SCEA confirmed in the bug reports that they found out regression was taking a double hit on the older players. They are supposedly fixing this to go in the next update/patch.

Be warned of a draft glitch!

At the end of each season, before the start of the minor league playoffs, release a few non useful players.

What happens is you can never at any time have more than 95 players on your team. Once you enter the off season your draft picks will always put you up near that number, often right at 95. If you have 90 players going into the off season, you will only get 95, or 5 of those players added to your roster. So if you picked 7 players, you only get to keep 5 and have no choice who.

      Anyone else notice this?
The second pick you've made always, ALWAYS gets dropped. And as far as I can tell, doesn't continue to exist in the game. It is a complete waste. Why it is the 2nd pick always dropped, I have no idea. But be warned. Release useless players, 2-3 before the end of the minor league season, or you will lose a couple draft picks

Re: Scouting For 1st Year Draft Tips?

When I scout players, I usually have a certain profile on what I look for from each position (like Shortstop, plus defense, plus arm, good contact skills). I typically try not to vary from that too much. However, I will vary from that if the talent of a player is too good to pass up.

I usually have a good idea of where I'll be drafting so I try to look for players that will be available by then. I try not to spend all my time discovering prospects and try to sort through the players already discovered. Just in case though, I do my due diligence on the top players in the draft so I know for future reference and in case someone falls to me.

For each individual draft, I will usually conduct it differently than the last season so I can't get as much high ceiling, different skill set talent as possible.

I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil
