Re: Weird retirements
I think is more of a result of the new player progression and scouting system been overblown and working to the extreme, same with the regression after spring training thing.Comment

Re: Weird retirements
Being in-progress does not mean they'll "fix" it as there is nothing to fix if it's by design. Also the "bug" was submitted as a suggestion rather than a bug as it's more likely to be tweaked that way.Comment

Re: Weird retirements
Regression is supposed to happen the way it is, just not twice at one time. That's what they're fixing.

Re: Weird retirements
No, what they said was that players were being regressed/penalized twice, not that the system wasn't working correctly.

I know we can control a lot of things in these modes but reloading just because someone retired? I think that's a bit daft.Supporting Leeds United, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Lions and the Colorado Avalanche!

Re: Weird retirements
SCEA can't make everyone happy. People's expectations are through the roof. Every year people say that trade can't happen even though trades come out of nowhere in real life. This game's got comeback logic! In real life teams choke often.
With this so called "bug," it just seems like the situation is a bit crazy. While Clayton Kershaw likely won't retire in real life, who's to say what will happen tomorrow? Decent players go M.I.A. in real life and you look them up one day and find out they went overseas or dedicated more time to their family. It is impossible to simulate real life 100% and people will never be happy, not on the PS4, PS5 or beyond, because when good sports games take risks to imitate real life they are criticized when it doesn't meet the fans' expectations. Reality check, our expectations aren't met in the real world. Use your imagination or drop video games. I remember a time when I wasn't so picky about video games and I just enjoyed them. We've turned our enjoyment of video games into a paranoid obsession of getting it perfect.
And don't take that last statement as a negative against the great work done on rosters, sliders, etc. I just remember simpler times smh.....Comment
