Patch is downloaded ... now time to play some MLB Live on my lunch break. I'll try and post some post-patch impressions later if I have time.

Re: Patch Support for the Vita Version of MLB 13: The Show?
Meatball was fixed for sure and I'm assuming strikeout totals... I'm still getting the 423 ft solo homeruns but that's not a big deal at all. I'm pretty happy now.
I would say the only thing that I'd like to see in the future is the chimpmunk faces gone. Has anyone tried editing the created player faces to make them less chimpmunk-y?Comment

Re: Patch Support for the Vita Version of MLB 13: The Show?
I was only able to play 4 innings (lunch was cut short), but did check and the first-pitch meatball issue is now a non-issue.
Could be rust from not playing in several days but also noticed I wasn't swinging as early at pitches as I had pre-patch, so maybe the timing window was tightened up just a hair?
There was some strange commentary as Matt V. talked about (I was the Orioles playing the Rays) Chris Davis hitting a double when he was standing on 1B with no intentions of trying for two bases.
Otherwise, things looked and played like they did pre-patch, which was pretty dang good. Now we wait for OSFM and then Season/Franchise play can begin

I noticed the same thing and thought it was just me... It seemed easier to make contact... Not too easy- just closer to MLB 12, which is a good thing.Comment

Happy about the patch, very upset about the ticker, really takes away from the game. What happened to the concept that SCEA doesn't remove anything from the show, only adds on to itComment

Re: Patch Support for the Vita Version of MLB 13: The Show?
Game plays great. Nothing to complain about. I never paid attention to the ticker last year so it's absence is not a loss for me. Sony has done a masterful job with this game on the Vita. I really don't know how they could improve on very much for next year's version. I really mean that. Adding custom batting cams and ability to switch fielders when ball is in play is all I can think of as improvements. Everything else is so good I don't see how they could improve upon itLast edited by blueduke; 04-02-2013, 09:20 PM.Comment

Re: Patch Support for the Vita Version of MLB 13: The Show?
so, the k/9 is fixed?Comment

Re: Patch Support for the Vita Version of MLB 13: The Show?
thanks nomo. the k/9 are still too low. with the three year splits I did for the other ratings, I have found that if you reduce every hitter's plate vision by 7 from the default SCEA rating, then the k/9 and bb/9 is almost perfect. I hope to put those edits in the hybrid roster that could be done by the end of April. This is the best sports sim ever made. If I spend eternity in Heaven, I hope I can play the Show!! Seriously.Comment

I don't know the progression in the patched game yet (doing some personal testing now), but you probably don't want to do franchise in non-patched game, especially if you are looking to get in a few years into the future. The progression pre-patch was pretty out of whack and in a few years the offense ended up dominating the league (I saw too many high Contact players but few quality pitchers with sufficiently high H/9 ratings to curb down the overall offense).Comment
