re: Incorrect Wild Card Game Seeding

I did some checking into this, and it seems like it is only an issue with the NL Wildcard game? When setting up a custom bracket it actually displays correctly on the post-select screen. I saw that it was reported, and it should be a simple fix.

Also, I have to admit the title 'incorrect WC "seating"' really threw me off.

Hey JayD. Are you saying we "the Braves" are getting screwed on the Show 13 as well. Well my friend that's the real life situation.. LOL.

All the seriousness if that is true hopefully its an isolated issue or will be fix later..

Well thats the thing I thought it would be for the entire NL but I simmed a season after I saw that the Braves were seated incorrectly and the two teams in the wild card game were seated correctly. I am not saying it is a Braves only issue but from what it looks like it very well could be, very weird.

The incorrect seeding in the NL Wildcard Game is SCEA's version of the Infield (Outfield) Fly Rule. lol

Yeah I ignored this thread yesterday because I thought it would have something to do with attendance.

Was there a bug in the "MLB 12 The Show" game last year in regards to the wildcard games, or is there a rule related to the final standings that I am not aware of? I know in the real world 2012 MLB season, the Orioles beat the Rangers and the Cards beat the Braves in their respective one game league wildcard match ups. But at the end of my "MLB 12 The Show" regular season I was only presented with one game between the Phillies and the Diamondbacks who both had identical records to each other and there was no wildcard game at all in the American league. Now I should point out in my "MLB 12 The Show" regular season, the wildcard team Boston finished so far ahead of the 5th place team the Angels. I forget how many games the Angels were behind, but it was a lot (somewhere in the area of 10+ games behind the Sox).

The new playoff format was not in last year's game... what you were seeing was a tie-breaker game (163), if anything.

Oh ok ... my bad ... that would explain what happened.

Thxs ... I am not a baseball dummy, but I am also more of a football, hockey, motorsports fan. It's just that "The Show" series is such a good computer sports game, I am interested now.

Is this only an issue with the NL? I also may have found a work around. After you load up the game and go into the postseason mode when you notice the seeding is incorrect quit and restart. It worked for me but it may of only been an isolated incident. I wonder if its the same with franchise.

Not only this but does Postseason Mode lack an option to choose home field advantage in the World Series?
I tried to start a postseason tonight and couldn't find anywhere to change it.

Has this happened to anyone in the Division Series?

I tried Postseason Mode yesterday and chose the Angels, seeded them as 1 with the best record, they play the Rangers (who won the WC playoff against the O's) in the ALDS.

Only problem is: the system is incorrect.

It is a 2-2-1 but the wrong way around. Instead of HH/AA/H I am playing the first 2 games at Rangers Ballpark, then 2 at home and Game 5 would take place in Arlington again.

At first I thought it's still the 2-3 system from last year but then I saw Game 5 will be an away game for the Angels.

Rather baffling that the developers couldn't get the correct playoff system in their "brand new Postseason Mode". Don't get me wrong, I love this game, but as someone in this thread already said, for all the good things they do there are a couple of bugs and errors that are just mind-boggling.

Yep it's happened to me except the NL wildcard winner had home field against the Cardinals who were the number one seed.
