Here's my 2 cents..... I played around 35 MoM so far.

The Good:
1. Lot more info on-screen so we could make the best decisions. Opponent bullpen's view, next 2 batter's info (although there is a bug on the screen: every batter is left handed) Stats, etc....
2. Dugout view: Yes, some people like it, some people don't. I enjoy it using this view occasionally but I could see why some people don't enjoy it. You really can't follow the ball but I'm just managing...

The Bad:
1. We need to align our own team's def every single time. I use to occasionally let the game go on without watching in previous versions but you will need to pay attention esp when we're on def this year or else your team will be out of positions. Bring back the auto def please! I don't think real life managers don't need to realign the def every at bat!

The Ugly:
1. As other folks have mentioned- CPU does not re-align their own team's def this esp hurts the CPU team when they attempt to turn a double play.

I have been playing MoM for few years on The Show and have been playing MoM style baseball games for many many years now- you old skool people- do you remember FPS Baseball Pro? but I can't remember an year MoM on The Show got this much love in one year. I do believe this is the best year ever if they the can patch up the "The Ugly".

Yep.

(they are aware of it...trust me. ....whether they can fix it.......but I'd rather they just shut off the new defensive screen if that's what's causing it)

You know if you could pick pitches this would be the mode I would play. I think in Larussa you could pick pitches, can't remember

Is there anything that can be done about the opposing manager changing pitchers every time you score a run or get a hit vs them? I just played a game and the Nationals manager went through his entire bullpen in one inning.

You can set your defense for all 9 batters before they game and they'll stick. You don't have to change the defense every AB if you don't want too. I know some like auto defense but I love aligning my defense based on the scouting reports. It's added to the fun factor for me and isn't time consuming at all. Takes about 5 minutes to set it up.

I can't seem to get my camera's (Batting/Pitching View) to work properly in Manage Mode this year. No matter what I set them to (Broadcast, Outfield, etc.), all I get is the view from the backstop. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Yeah... or was it High Heat? I wouldn't use this option because I don't believe most real life mangers don't call every pitch but I do understand some players will want this options.

Since we're discussing "wish list", I wish there is way to check career stat for particular batter against particular batter and I REALLY wish there is some attribute reflections against it. Some batters just murders against particular pitcher aka "see's the ball better". For example, Andre Either murders Matt Cain so his attribute increases when he's facing Matt and vice versa against those lefty in Giants bullpen which he is atrocious against. If there was such thing, I might pencil in my bench player on my starting lineup against particular pitcher he sees the ball well or I'll check the stats when I'm pinch hitting.

Okay, okay... don't ask me what do with those who plays minor league games or for those folks so sims hence there are no current player vs player stat we can go against now. That's the problem for the real smart people at SCEA!

I seen this but it's rare for me. I have been fiddling with Starting/ Reliever stamina plus manger hook sliders. I'll keep all posted if I find anything.

Make sure you are pressing x instead of o. If you don't press x the changes won't stick. Pressing o cancels any changes you made. It should ask you if you would like to apply the changes you made, if it doesn't it's not working properly.

I haven't started my "real" season yet. I have messed around with it a little but waiting for rosters and hopefully a patch for the Defense problems and sim/k's...Am I correct in assuming we (as manager) can put our team in DP depth but the AI cannot? If so, I almost feel like I'm cheating having the unfair advantage haha. I did see a lot of lollygag throws from 3B and SS trying to get the force or turn 2, now I know why. I really hope they correct these as they are pretty big deals for us MOMers

Nice find Braves Fan...are you seeing the new push/pull tendencies come into play more this year? Like for pull hitters (Napoli) are u moving your SS more into the hole and for LH pull hitters moving the 2nd baseman etc? It seemed last year when I would shift for Papi he would hit too many down towards 3B when it was wide open...This all sounds like another cool way to get involved as the Manager

I've only started doing this recently so I would need to test it more but in my last series there were some hitters where I put on the extreme shift (Adam Laroche) and others that wouldn't be necessary because they were only identified as pull hitters, not extreme pull hitters. So I would only do a normal pull hitter shift for them. I'd say 80% of the time it worked too, I haven't gotten beat too often by the shift yet. Also I noticed that when I put on an extreme shift my pitcher gameplans accordingly. I didn't see them pitching lefties down and away when I'm playing them to pull. They are pounding the ball inside trying to get them to pull the ball into the hole.

I ask this every year,but just curious how everybody manages there pitching in Mom?Just press play ball?Actually pick location or style(Pitch aggressive,Pitch around,Pitch to batter)any theories on which way is the most effective?Also great to see Mom get some real love this year And to see the amount of Mom guys seem to increase
