Unfortunately I'm one of those people. I'm seriously thinking about deleting the patch because it almost makes the game unplayable. Would doing that screw anything up?

You'd just won't be able to connect online I believe and would be stuck using the shipped version of the game without the first day 0 patch.

I had high hopes for the patch fixing this as I rarely had this issue in past games, compared to this year at least. I haven't played with the patch yet, but I still have hope I get less stutter personally.

I never had stuttering pre-patch (had it sometimes last year, though). Any reason why I might get it if I download this patch?

I did get occasional stutters before the patch, and didn't have a single one in 6.5 games after patching.

Considering the patch has been out for several hours now I would expect this thread to be blazing if it was still a wide spread issue.

I had a pitch stutter very rarely pre patch but had it often with cut scenes.

After Patch the game is as smooth as an oiled thunderbolt. B E A utiful.

Still no pitch stutter for me and i have the swing/pitch info screen still.

Yeah, you certainly might. Several people who reported no stuttering pre-patch are now reporting it.

Okay, so maybe I exaggerated with "several", but I'm referring to this thread and the actual thread about the patches details. I'm also assuming more people are experiencing it than we see reporting it.

Now after one game my Swing/Pitch Info graphic is back, and I have not changed any settings since downloading the patch

Hmm, that is certainly interesting. I'll have to see if the same happens for me when I can play a second game.

Have about 4 full games in (well, hitting only anyway - that's the only time I ever saw the pitch stutter) and haven't seen a trace of it post-patch yet. No crazy fixes involving US Cellular needed either.

I do get an occasional hitch in the batter walkups and screen wipes (where it goes from live action to a replay or vice versa) just as I got pre-patch, but those don't bother me because they don't affect my gameplay.

Yes, Russell said they would move the writing to the hard drive (which causes the stutter) to a different time in the game, however it is still during pitching and sometimes hitting now.
