Re: Patch Did Not Fix Stuttering, also New Issues
The lag in night games especially has been in this series for years, day games buttery smooth, night games always have issues.Comment

I have had no stuttering since the patch. However, like others have said the music skips a ton.Comment

Yeah I did that and fixed the corrupt system files or whatever after I downloaded the patch. There's just slowdowns that I wouldn't even call stutter...Because I can still play ok. It just doesn't look so nice.Comment

Re: Patch Did Not Fix Stuttering, also New Issues
No stuttering for me, but I'm experiencing something strange.
I'm playing in franchise mode simming a few dates a head (July 2014) and I start getting notifications for EVERY team. I do play with 30 team control, but have two (2) separate usernames. I control everything for my team and let the CPU control everything else for the other 29 teams. So when I started to receive popup messages for other teams, I immediately went into my user settings to investigate. When I clicked on Team Assignment (I don't recall the actual menu name), all teams were listed as -A) TO REPLACE (obviously the CPU controlled teams) and my team was listed with no username (blank). When I tried to reselect the username previously set up, they were no longer available to be selected. My only choices were the option listed above, BE YOU SHOULD and GE ROSTER SCRE.
The next thing I notice the game display shrinks to approximately 17" - I play on a 24" monitor. I went into Audio/Video to reset the screen size and the game freezes - this has happened 3 times. I've restarted 3 times and the PS3 has had to check for corrupted files (2-3 hour message).
I don't think my PS3 is on the fritz because I'm able to boot it up properly in FULL screen, The Show boots up in FULL screen and The Show opening sequence is in FULL screen. It's only once The Show fully boots to the main screen that my view shrinks and only when I select Audio/Video that the PS3 freezes.
Update: When I select batting practice (seeing if my custom cam is still available in case I have to delete all MLB '13 files), I get a black screen, but the Pitch Remaining counter is displayed. I quit (normal menu displays after hitting start button) and go to check the gameplay settings. Hitting camera is set to 100. I change it to Catcher and I'm able to go into bating practice normally, just with a smaller display.
Update 2 (03/30): Ultimately I had to uninstall the game and the issue resolve itself. However, I did have to recreate my user settings and my level was at 23, but now it's back to 1. Luckily, the saved game data (Franchise, Slider, Roster) are fine.
So weird.
Note: Here is a screenshot showing the username as -A) TO REPLACE, Difficulty is set to CATCHER and the hitting view is set to 100. The 2nd screenshot is a better view of the small display.Comment

On the XMB under Sound. It didn't completely fix it, but it doesn't skip as often. Whether that's a coincidence or not, I don't know.Comment
