I have no idea who to be

not that anyone really cares lol

Every year I do an offline franchise-fantasy draft team....
Sure ill do other online leagues etc, but the offline one I start around opening day is my main one that ill keep and play everday almost all year... its the "big boy" franchise if you will... usually i dont have THIS much trouble picking teams... but I cant seem to fully "feel" one if you will..... I dont want to start one and then 10 games in say ehhhh not felling it.
Uusally I have a good idea who to be but this yeat forget it, im back and forth.... list of teams im considering is below.

-maybe im missing something on these teams and people can chime in and provide insight...............help me pick lol

fyi-its gotten so bad I even had my GF cycle thru and pick a team based on unis she liked, which was cleveland.

-I also tend to go east coast/midwest... but im open to west coast

    Teams:
Cleveland (not having francona is somewhat preventing this, and I feel like progressive field is just boring)... do they bang drums? But they have alot of cool uni combos
    Baltimore
    Atlanta
    Tampa Bay
    Minnesota
    L.A. Dodgers
    Oakland
    Colorado
    Kansas City
    Chicago Cubs
    St.Louis

If you're doing fantasy draft, then the Dodgers, Royals and Orioles have the best uniform/stadium combos out of the teams you listed. I would also suggest the Pirates or Mariners

There is drumming at Progressive Field but it isn't accurate to what John Adams does.

Anyway, the Indians are fun to play (why can't I edit my posts?). From my experience of playing about 40 games into a franchise:

        - Bourn, Stubbs, Kipnis, Brantley are all 75+ speed who can easily steal 35+ in a season. Bourn has 14 through the first series in May in my franchise with the Steal Ability slider ticked down to 4.

        - While the Indians don't have one batter that is a killer stud, Swisher, Reynolds, Kipnis, Santana all have ~30 HR power, Stubbs can kill lefties. I have a ton of success with Giambi off the bench somehow, as well, and he became my starting DH.

        - A lot of ease and versatility for days off because of Mike Aviles, Nick Swisher.

        - Starting pitching is awful, so you're challenged in that department :P

Clearly you didn't watch too many Reds games. If by "Stubbs can kill lefties" you mean "by striking out on garbage and losing his bat in the direction of the mound," then yes, Stubbs can kill lefties.

Drew Stubbs has a career .821 OPS against lefties. Maybe not 'kill', but certainly hits lefties well.

Against right handed pitching is where he becomes a migraine.

Minnesota or Colorado would be fun franchises to take over and possibly rebuild! The pitching in Minnesota is sub par at best same with Colorado! I personally love taking over a franchise and rebuilding from the minors or trading a stud like Tulo/Cargo or Morneau(kinda a stud)/Mauer, for youth and working your way back to the top! The Indians I have never played with, but I have against, and I've always dominated them with a good pitcher, but could be fun to play with with all their speed, etc.

Yeah, I wasn't saying he's not semi-capable. He's just one of those guys that always seems to botch an opportunity. I did a lot of stat hunting with him last year, and one of the most telling stats is that he swung at more first pitches than anyone else on the team (which can be great) but had the worst swing and miss percentage. He also struck out looking more than anyone.... ever? Feels like it.

Maybe I missed the point of your post, but what's wrong with AL teams?
                    NHL: Chicago Blackhawks
                    NFL: Kansas City Chiefs
                    MLB: Kansas City Royals
                    NCAA: Kansas Jayhawks

DH, boring management: no double switches, no utilizing bench, no constructing a rally at the bottom of the lineup with a pitcher hitting, having to keep pitchers in to finish innings, etc.

With AL it's just pop in your 8 guys, pick a masher that can't play D as your 9th, and change pitchers whenever the hell you want. Hell, you could probably get away with putting 14 pitchers on your roster.

Mostly I jest, I have played a few seasons as A.L teams, but mainly I'm an old skool N.L.'er.
Hmm.. maybe later this year I'll play as Houston & show them A.L. boys how to play some real ball

I find Houston to be a very fun/challenging franchise to take on (unless you were doing a fantasy draft which I think you mentioned). Cubs could be pretty fun to try and bring home the elusive title.

It's hard to beat home games at Fenway or Wrigley.

Is there any way besides checking every team that I can find the salary amounts for all of the teams? I thought if doing a franchise with Seattle but I vaguely remember someone saying Felix took up like 1/3 of their salary.
