You can do 30 team control and cycle through. Did that earlier and probably going to go with the Marlins. Lowest salary team (I think) at 44mil (good challenge), get to play the Braves often (favorite team but never like using my teams in MLB or NFL), and at least I can play at Sun Life and avoid looking at the thing out in center field at the new park.

Used to do Rays and Astros in past games, but with Astro's going to AL kinda lost interest there.

The Cubs. But that's my biased choice.

Yeah, off the top of my head I think Marlins are at 44mil, A's at 45.5mil as the two lowest team. Astros are 58mil I think, which surprised me a little, think they only have low 20mil on salary's as well, so have some room off the bat.

Just wish the Marlins had the teal jersey's, and the Rays alternate powder blues instead of the retro's.

Well this makes things interesting for my franchise when I start it. Not that I will go blow through the budget, but it does give some wiggle room.

Not in real life. 'Stros have the lowest by a lot: 24.3 million. Marlins next with 39.6m.

He was referring to the budget the game gives you. The Astros payroll in the game is about 24 million, but the budget is higher. After beginning staff expenses it leaves about 10 million room to play.

Was about to argue why the payroll should be relative in the game, and about how it's dumb it's not the same ratio as in real life -- then realized you were talking budget and I was talking payroll. Which you clearly said, but didn't register. My bad.

So with all that being said-- where's the list of teams payrolls for franchise mode?

This season's gem is definitely the Houston Astros. A bad team that switched leagues and is now trying to pave its way in a very tough division. When is the next time you'll be able to lead an expansion team or team that switched leagues to victory?

The Cubs will be there next year.
