Re: Protesting Calls
Didn't one of the 2k games have it were it was almost a mini game? I vaguely remember the need to mash y on xbox in one of the versions to argue. (newer than 05, thinking like 08ish) Unless I was dreaming that
EDIT:
found it on wiki it was 2k7
"Other additions include a ramped up player and manager ejection system, including a minigame in which the player controlling the manager will tap a button to argue with the umpire; in multiplayer, the opponent will take control of the umpire and try to precision tap a button to eject the opponent's manager. A managerial ejection will cause the player's team to be controlled by the CPU"MLB 13 The Show Dynasty -- Mile High Magic Returns: A Colorado Rockies Dynasty Is BornComment

Re: Protesting Calls
On the topic of umps, does anyone else feel like the HP ump is constantly screwing you?
Whenever I pitch I don't get any close calls and when I hit everything close is a strike. I thought it was supposed to be consistent but I just don't see it.Comment

Re: Protesting Calls
I just had this happen to me yesterday, with my RTTS that I started with the new OSFM rosters. 3 straight batters, walked them all, the 4 pitches called ball were all the way in, not a single part of the ball was out of the strike zone! Frustrating but I know that was just an anomaly and won't happen again or very little! I love the realism of getting screwed on calls because it does happen in real life! But I also feel it happens A LOT more in this game, balls that are perfectly in the k-zone are getting called balls, at least for me! But oh well, life goes on! If I wanted perfect I'd turn on perfect calls!Comment

Re: Protesting Calls
I swear the ump resets the strike zone when you bring in a reliever. It seems like strike calls I was getting with the starter are a no go when I bring in a reliever. As a result it seems like there is always a man on first when my bullpen is involved.Comment

Re: Protesting Calls
I had something interesting I had the same first base ump in 2 games (cant remember the name) and every call that was sent to him he called a strike. I got an extra 17 strikes in 2 games. Half way threw the first game J.P was sending every check swing by a righty for review. It was insane, like swings I was like their was no way that broke the plane and sure enough was called a strikeComment

Re: Protesting Calls
Seems to me, that swings where they clearly break the plane are getting called balls, and swings where there is just no way are getting called strikes! Doesn't happen to me that often, just something I've noticed! Not complaining either!Comment

Re: Protesting Calls
I've had an issue several times already in this game. Seems every once in a while the ump calls a clear strike a ball. I have lost no hitters because of that.Comment

Re: Protesting Calls
I still like my theory of holding triangle after plays trying to argue a call, not sure if it works lol, but do anywaysComment

Re: Protesting Calls
Better idea...Impliment a Siri type chat bot like on the IPhone with speech recognition and let me argue with the ump thru my bluetooh headset, and have the ump argue back with me, or have him explain his calls. Have a volume sensitivity meter built into it, so that if my voice gets over a certain db level, then I have a better chance of being tossed.Last edited by TN - BRAVES FAN; 04-05-2013, 04:04 PM.Comment

Re: Protesting Calls
So if you can't argue calls, why is there a general option for ejections? I've been playing The Show for years, and I cant recall seeing a player or coach ejected for years.Comment

Re: Protesting Calls
I know don't say it, if you throw at enough batters intentionally or by accident, your pitcher will ejected, but not the batter for charging the mound. Its all a cut scene, and you don't get to warm up your pitcher properly. That's a sad excuse for an ejection sequence.Comment
