So anyone with a multi year deal...starting the season NOT on the 40 will have his contract reset?

Yes if they don't start on 40 and are added later in the season the contract is reset.

Rather than creating a new thread I'll ask my question here...
With 30 team control, is there anyway to have your team selected when you go to play a game(on the selection screen) because I sometimes click past it and dont select a team by accident... just wondering if theres a way to get that little controller automatically on your team when you go on the screen before a game... THANKS!

I don't think so...
The game doesn't know which team you want to actually play as.

Do you not receive trade offers when controlling all 30 teams even if the 29 others are set to auto everything?

Doing a test sim run to see if I set it up right and I noticed I haven't gotten any trade offers.

Hmmm I simed through an entire season and didn't get a single offer (I even set up a quick trade block)

The 29 other teams were trading amongst each other, but none my way.

EDIT: Did another 30 team sim, and sure enough got a trade offer within the first week lol

I have a question. Why when I set my lineups and rotation to what I want them to be before spring training starts, but than I sim spring training they go back to what they were before I adjusted them? Why does the CPU change my stuff back to what it was before I touched them. I am using the OSFM 40 man roster if that makes a difference. Is this a bug?

Even if he is put back on, which I have not seen yet, (they put other players on the 40 but not these guys) He will still be a free agent in the offseason.

So the best thing would be to restart my franchise and before I start the next one to make sure that all guys with multiyear contracts start on the 40 man roster?

Not a bug.
If you are not sending down the 15 player from the 40 man roster that is basically the MLB roster during spring training...You're asking the CPU to do it for you...and in turn it will set lineups(in the cases..which is most) when there are player no longer on that level.
If you ask the CPU to do one thing(by not sending players down) it's going to do that for what it needs to.

Not necessarily...
Check through your franchise now....there were very few players that fell into that category and I don't think anyone of "importance"(depending on the base roster that is.)

You may already know this but if you load a game and forget to pick a team, you can hit the Start button, go to Controller Select (I think, going from memory here), and assign yourself to a team there.

Thanks Knight! You are right, I'm using the OSFM with error corrections, and there are actually very few players with multi year deals not on the 40 man roster!

So with only two profiles (mine and a CPU all auto) will teams lineups be constantly re setting? Do I need a third like knight mentioned?

For example If a prospect is of age and ready for a call up and I move him up for CPU, will it not stick?

Want to know before I get too deep in my two profile 30 team control franchise

No....as of now....level doesn't play a part in season to season progression.

I forget about how the Farm Director vs. coaches/manager(MLB level) play into the IN season ups and downs.

Hopefully they put in place something that helps/hinders what level you keep a players in regards to progression(ala OOTP)
