    MLB 14 Wishlist: General Gameplay if you could have any feature, addition, tweak what would it be? Remember you can only choose two.

    1. More hitter tendencies. I loved the inclusion of the push/pull tendency. It would also be nice to see some that are approach-oriented rather than results-oriented. For example: Patient vs. Aggressive, Make Contact vs. Swing for the Fences, Fastball vs. Offspeed (in regards to which one they hit better), etc.

    2. Pitcher tendencies. Similar to my other request, maybe focusing more on behavior or approach. For exampe: Easy Thrower vs. Max Effort, Strike-Thrower vs. Nibbler, Relies on Fastball vs. Pitchers Backward, Low vs. High, etc.

      1. Better representation for a player's eye so that my game BB better represent my player makeup vs my skill set w controller. I play a role, as a sort of hitting coach, but Soriano shouldn't walk as much as Victor Martinez.

      2. More hbp. When checking game stats against sim and MLB, this is one stat that's always way off.

        1. Pitching - pitch break needs to be redone. Currently as is the pitches dont break and tail/move the way they really do IE 2sfb, change ups, Tailing FB, and some of the sliders, and knuckleballs.

        2. Hitting - would like to see a more intuitive approach to guess pitch. like a hitters eye that you move around with the left stick to guess specific location. Depending on the hitter determines the size. (think MLB2K7) I dont think guessing the exact pitch should be in as thats more of a user skill, but the location is a nice representation of realism.

          1. Better fielding pitchers, have them get their glove up more. The amount of times a pitcher is hit in this game seems way too high. If they would either field the ball or get out of the way that would feel more realistic. But if they do happened to get hit they shouldn't bounce off the mound like a lion going after a gazelle.

          2. Not sure if this is considered gameplay related but please please please bulk up the commentary, there is too much dead air and it detracts from the immersion.

            1. The ability to set offset camera angles that change with the handedness of the pitcher rather than the handedness of the hitter.

            2. Lefty/righty ratings splits for pitchers, rather than just hitters (I think this is gameplay-related).

              1. I would like to see an option to have an on screen graphic when the ball is thrown from the pitcher's hand to indicate the pitch type. The graphic could be more apparant for players with good plate vision.

              2. I would like to see the player's reaction when catching a fly ball close to a wall toned down a bit. Sometimes, the fielder will catch a ball 3-4 steps away from the wall and go into a 2 second graphic while the baserunner takes advantage.

                1. More tendencies for pitchers can be broken down in any combo of ways...ground ball vs fly ball outs. or location in the zone...possibly by pitch or count.

                2. As stated by another user...a pitch recognition system or spin recognition system the pitch recognition abilty would be based on an attribute. Possibly a flahsing color, or a pic of the ball on the screen showing rotation.

                  1. Higher difficulty level for Diamond Dynasty. - I'm not asking for Legend but the current level is way too easy if you are a consistently playing The Show player.

                  2. Harder to train or acquire 90+ rated players in Diamond Dynasty. - I think this deters new players from giving DD a real chance when they play someone that plays a lot of DD. They enter a DD game and see the opposing team having all 90+ rated players.

                    1) The ability to choose to use a slide step or quicker delivery to the plate. I'm guessing this can be accomplished by holding one of the bumper buttons during delivery; and maybe accompany the quicker delivery with a tougher/shorter meter for those who use that mode, and a similar slight penalty for the other modes.

                      1. I would like to see miscommunication between fielders on fly balls whether it be between outfielders or outfielders and infielders with balls in no man land. Even miscues that result in collisions.

                      2. Do away with the flailing throw when the urgency isn't there to do so. For example a slow grounded to second that still leaves plenty of time to set and throw. The fielder should know how much time he has and thus shouldn't have to make an off balanced toss.

                        1. Analog Pitching tweaks... Every miss on the line or circle should not result in a pitch right down the middle of the plate. If pitchers make a bad pitch they do result in pitches going out of the zone. too many times it goes right down middle allowing center swingers to just sit there.

                        2. tweak OF arms or baserunners so that runners on second can score on a base hit single in gap and not be thrown out at home by 35+ feet on plays where they were score easily in real life.

                          1. I think tendencies in general, in all three phases (hitting, pitching, and fielding), could really be more in depth and specific. For example, certain players are more inclined to chase certain pitch locations. Ratings for "chases low pitches" or "chases high pitches" or something like that would really add more realism. Other examples would be that some pitchers go after hitters when behind in the count while some play it safe. Also a pitch pitch type frequency tendency would be awesome. Certain pitchers throw a certain pitch more frequently than others, no matter how good their other pitches are. Also, different managers have different tendencies (small ball, steal frequency, taking pitches vs. swinging). Basically, more detailed and specific tendencies!

                          2. Catcher attributes for how well they call games and influence on the pitching staff. Great catchers really impact a game with how well they call the game. A catcher that "handles the staff" well could give a slight ratings bump when be is behind the plate. Also a catcher with a higher "calling the game" attribute would ask for better pitches.

                            2. Some in game injuries don't seem to be reflected with what actually happened. I've had a player get a fractured head while pitching and there was no contact with his head of any kind. So basically try to fix that aspect

                              Absolutely this. This would turn me to zone hitting forever with The Show if implemented. Have the bat size increase/decrease depending on stats and count at the plate...Basically how it is now with the hitting zone for players depending on the situation.

                                1. Every year there is improvement, but please continue to improve hit variety/ball physics. I want every type of hit I see in MLB represented in game. Im sure you've heard most of he requests -- more hits in no-man's land, balls hit down the line should roll all the way to wall for doubles, etc.

                                2. Again there's been improvement, but playing defense should feel more organic. More pronounced difference between great & horrible defenders. AI defenders feel less like they're going after a ball and more like they're running to exact, pre-determined spot ball will drop, especially on balls hit off wall.
