MLB 14 Wishlist: Franchise/Season mode if you could have any feature, addition, tweak what would it be? Remember you can only choose two.

1. Ability to resign players/coaches throughout the year and allow performance based bonuses.

2. Revamp the entire coaching system. I.E. Coaches don't generally affect the arm strength, power, or speed of players. They affect plate discipline, defense, and strategy at the plate or in the field. Coaches need to be different as some are "player's coaches" and some are hard nosed coaches that get the best out of a team. Coaches and players need a better system of interaction. Some coaches are amazing at managing a team of allstar veterans (Cito Gaston) and some are great at getting teams to over achieve (Buck Showalter). They need to matter to the team and not just during a game, but during the entire franchise. SOme 3rd base coaches are aggressive and some are cautious. A good 1st base coach can really help base stealing by catching little quirks in the pitchers delivery. I think that coaching is always underrated is sports games and would love the SHOW to be an innovator in this area.

I've always wanted to see on screen text or small graphic overlays of the current pitcher and current batter permanently on the screen during the at bat somewhere small in the corner of the screen. Or even their current stats, or attributes.

1. I cannot stand the cyberfaces. I understand if the player is fake, he's gonna have a cyber face but it's terrible to trade for a guy and have to see a fake face for them. Do what Madden does and when taking the real photos for players for the game, have them in either no hat and a plain jersey or a white/black hat and plain jersey. Cyberface problem solved. But if we have to have cyberfaces in the future, PLEASE make them more realstic looking. PLEASE! =)

2. Expand to have single A teams and thus more rounds in the draft.

Love this game every year and these two things would make it sooo much better, especially the cyberfaces!! =)

Stats is actually my number one want, however since it seems to be getting a lot of love in this thread I'm going to go with:

1) Team Pages with Headlines - Have news on past games, MLB players hots/streaks cold streaks, milestones, etc. Also news on Minor league affiliates as well as news and notes on top prospects.

2) A deeper franchise experience - Give me more things to manage between games. I'm not talking about finances like in the past, but things like chronic injuries, rehab assignments, possibly even pitch counts/innings limits for pitchers coming back from injuries and prospects.

Not sure this has been brought up but this will be the END ALL BE ALL THAT EVERYONE WILL AGREE

1. More roster control options. CPU roster changes, lineup changes, call ups ,call downs need user approval. even if you dont control the team.

2. Minor leaguers with fake names and real stats/attributes

I am willing to bet money that if you polled the forum these two would be the two main things they want.

1. Properly rotating interleague schedules. Thought this year would have it since there is now a defined schedule each year.

2. Rainouts forcing doubleheaders would be cool.

1. Abilty to import previous version Franchises'/players/teams(?)/RttS players

2. Additional commentary - Not a big baseball fan, but ended up watching opening week (Mets) and noticed that a lot of the commentary chatter was based around baseball and its history. I think this would be an awesome addition to add in commentary dealing with history surrounding the game, Teams, Players, Stadiums and even stats based history (like the DH rule eg. when/why it happened, who uses it, etc.). A lot of this is general chat and can be used in almost every game/situation. It could fill in dead-spots and also teach players a little history and of course add to the commentary.

Hey Russell,

From a franchise immersion perspective something that would be great to see would be the ability to see quick highlights between innings of other games from around the league during your franchise. Especially during a tight pennant race coming to the end of the season as this would add a great amount of playoff intensity and and overall sense of urgency approaching that time of the year. Hence adding to the broadcast presentation as well.

1.) Create a team/stadium
2.) Have complete career stat-tracking for all players instead of AVG, Hits, HR's, RBIs (Like there is available in RTTS)

1. More immersion. Players who want more PT, players demanding trades, mid-season retirements, clubhouse scraps, divas, media interaction. etc.

2. Stats. Baseball is such a stat-based game I want to have as much historical depth as possible.

1. Expansion mode or create a team and replace an existing one if it complicates the schedule.
Create a stadium.

2. Edit coaches and have them meet expectations, have franchise goals. Be on the hot seat.

1.The ability to create my own custom league for season play offline. With tha ability to alter divisions playoff format # of teams etc.

2.If more classic stadiums are not a possibility then instead of minor league stadiums then i would like some generic stadiums that can be used as astro turf 70's stadiums.
