Definetly a bug! All the righthanders i created (5) are push hitters! Not really fun to Play a push hitter when your own tendencies are balanced - pull.

Re: Most of my created players are push hitters

Wanted to add in here,I made a A-Rod RTTS guy and no matter what I did his power wouldn't come out right. Every time I got around on a pitch he flew out or popped up, but he could drive it to right field.

So after I got tired of that happening I turned him into myself. I'm a switch hitter so I made him one. After that whenever he came up left handed I could turn on a ball and pull it out.

After a month the A-Rod version had one hr to the opposite field. After a week the switch hitting me version had pulled 5.

        I gave you a vote.

It has to be a bug. I have a created well over 50 right handed RTTS players, and have seen Balanced, Push, and Extreme Push, and have yet to see one Pull or Extreme Pull.

Thanks for the vote. If they are done patching this years game (I hope not) maybe this can get fixed for the Show 14.

I doubt they are done patching, I'm sure there will be a couple more updates.

Hopefully a fix for this makes its way in, until then I'll stick with my MLB 12 RTTS.

I wouldn't hold my breath. Seems they are usually good for about 3 or so updates before they start putting resources back into the next version. I don't have any inside info on this, but if there are *any* more updates, I wouldn't expect more than one.

Re: Most of my created players are push hitters

Spent more time today creating lots of RTTS players.

I thought i would try making some left handers, hoping to get a push hitting lefty favoring left field that I then could switch right handed thus making him a pull hitter, as the spray chart numbers don't change when switching handedness.

And what seemed to be a glitch effecting only right handed batters spray charts is actually a glitch with the spray charts as a whole.

I probably created well over 100 RTTS players at a 50/50 spit in Lefty/Righty and all but one favored right field. The one exception only favored left field by 3 points and was a "Balanced" hitter.

Hopefully one of the devs can comment on this. I think I spotted a thread where they said it was random, but it certainly is not random. Maybe it is supposed to be, but there is a gigantic favoring towards right.

Re: Most of my created players are push hitters

This is interesting. I made my RTTS player as a switch hitter. I only used that file for some practice before I got some new rosters and tweaked my sliders/settings. I was a balanced hitter.

I re-made my player once I was happy with my rosters and settings and forgot to change him to switch so he was a righty. I was then a push hitter.

So I re-made him to get my balanced hitting back and made sure he was a switch hitter... I was then a balanced hitter again.

So judging from this thread and my experience, the side you bat from probably influences this some how.

No, that's the thing, the side you bat from doesn't seem to have any influence on the "random" spary chart you are given.

You will almost always favor right field, if only by a few points.

Can we get a dev response on this please?

Pretty big issue considering the Push/Pull Tendencies is one of the most touted new features, and is broken for created players.

have you thought that it might just be your batting style? im a push hitter in general from the past games. A lot of it has to do with my approach to hitting. I always go lefty with my rtts guys too.

This has nothing to do with my hitting style, or anything that is user based.

When you come up to bat with any player you can hit select, this will show you a spray chart.

All spray charts are "randomly generated" at the creation of that player, if you are indeed using a created player. If you are using an MLB player the chart was designated by the devs themselves.

The problem is all randomly generated charts seem to favor right field, some very heavily and some by just a few points.

Which means right handers will always be balanced or push, and lefty's will always be balanced or pull.
