I have to select pickoff attempts? I'm not pitching, so why would I need to do that? The manager doesn't tell the pitcher when to make a pickoff attempt.

Where is the option for pickoff attempts? I know about pitchout, but you're saying something else.

No, I didn't save the replay.

You do know I am talking MoM?

Yes. It's in the pitcher options when you hit the X button.

And I believe there's a quick select button with L2 but I'm not sure. I never really use the trigger options.

Well, to be perfectly honest, I don't see why I should have to tell my pitcher that when I am the manager. Now, if I could actually pitch, then I could see it as being appropriate. MoM is me acting as the manager, and the manager does not tell the pitcher when to throw a pickoff attempt.

Well, I'm not arguing with you, just telling you where the option is.
If it was automatic, we'd probably have issues with the (lack of/) frequency.

And actually, the catcher, 1st baseman, 3rd baseman, manager and any other coach can and will give the pitcher a command to attempt a pickoff in real life, just so you know.
Maybe not every single attempt, but hints as to whether there's a good opportunity there.

Well, I doubt the manager is giving pickoff attempt signals on any type of regular basis. The pitcher looks at first, runner on first, and sees what kind of lead the runner has, and then makes a judgement call whether to step off the mound or throw to first.
