    CPU and big game feats

Okay I like to really pay attention to the world as I play in it (one reason that I'm sad the newspaper is gone) but I got to thinking I've never seen the CPU throw a no-no against itself when simming and I haven't seen but a hand full of hitters feats (i.e. 4 hr gm or hit for the cycle that type of thing).

So I'm wondering have any of you seen this, especially a perfect game I'd be interested to hear about it, and not against you playing but in either a simmed game or in the case of you MoM guys CPU v. CPU but no human control as interference

Re: CPU and big game feats

I've seen just once in CPU vs CPU games since MLB 11. It was by Chad Billingsley of LAD in MLB 11. I might have seen another combined no-hitter but that's about it. It happens.

This year, Darvish almost did it, except it was ruined by the lack of run support. It was a game I happened to record (purely by chance):

Like Nomo, I saw a combined No-Hitter in a Spring Training Game. I want to say it was the A's, don't remember the pitchers...As a matter of fact, this being a CPU vs CPU game, I fell asleep early on. Woke up after game was over. So I missed the whole thing.

I like how the CPU was smart enough to leave him in for the no hitter then once they got a hit they took him out. That is true realism

It's crazy you post this cause I just saw the CPU throw a perfecto yesterday. Matt Moore threw one against the Marlins in a 1-0 victory. I saw it go across the bottom line, 9.0 IP, 0 H, 0ER. Checked out the box score and 0 walks. Pretty crazy I thought it was cool, first time I've seen this.

Only feat I've seen is that one time (way back to mlb 2005) the cpu had 27 strikeouts against another team.

Re: CPU and big game feats

Chris Carpenter threw a no-hitter on opening day in last year's edition of the Show I remember being pretty impressed as I've never heard of anybody else to accomplish this before

Edit: The only two no-hitters thrown on Opening Day in MLB History was in 1910 and 1940 (1940 being the only "official" one)

Re: CPU and big game feats

Check out Strasburg's opening day start in this Dodgers chise.

This was a simmed game as again I'm controlling the Dodgers, I noticed it after checking the league leaders after the first series. I was like wait a minute, lemme make sure he did thisin one game and sure enough he did. Quite a opening day start for the young guy, he has already doubled up everyone in the strikeout lead lol.

Pretty sure this is the most I've seen in a non interfered with simmed game.

Re: CPU and big game feats

I witnessed a CPU vs CPU no hitter last season in "MLB 12 The Show". On top of that due to a light schedule and my "MLB 13 The Show" MoM team having the night off, I came close to witnessing another CPU vs CPU no hitter last night. I had a real world game going on one screen via my MLB TV subscription and "The Show" going on the other screen and James Shields of the Royals had a no hitter with only one walk against him going into the top of the 8th inning against the Angels. But then he gave up a single and soon afterwards surrendered a home run before being pulled by the Royals manager. But the Royals did prevail 5-2 in the game and Shields did get the win.
