Congrats! i almost had one with Verlander on opening day against the Twins into the 9th then Mauer f****d it up with a blooper!
At least it's realistic. Hasn't he broken up 2 or 3 in real life? If I didn't want a perfecto so damn bad, I would pitch around him and take a no hitter, but I want perfection!
I went with Harang into the 9th needing 2 more outs vs the Rays then Kelly Johnson hits a popup to LF and my player gets into some animation like hes scared of the ball and they get the hit
Damn man, great game. The fact its on HOF with a 5th starter is even more impressive.
I have two games that were pretty funny. I played my brother last year off MLB 12, using the Rockies with Ubaldo Jimenez. I hit the first batter of the game then proceeded to retire 27 in a row for the no no. The only time i came close against the CPU was White Sox vs Cubs with Jake Peavy. 2 outs in the 9th, Darwin Barney literally hits the foul line for a triple, i couldn't believe i was an out away it was awful.
Good job! It's nice to have the highlights saved to relive the moment.
The closest I ever came was taking a no-hitter into the ninth with Matt Harvey, only to end up losing to the Padres. But, I love how the suspense and tension builds in the later innings. No other game replicates its sport quite like the Show.
It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.
I pitched a perfect game a few weeks ago with my RTTS player. Then I pitched a perfect game today with CC Sabathia in a franchise game. I have been playing MLB The Show since 2008. I use analog pitching, and on pro difficulty. I tend to pitch really well, but have never pulled off the perfect game. Then I did it twice in a month. It figures that there is no perfect game trophy this year haha.
I wish I had done it on a higher difficulty level but I am too impatient when it comes to hitting to play on a higher level so I have never really tried to move up the difficulty level. I am 50 and 31 in my current franchise so I lose a lot as it is (the show truly is a challenging game). I love how the game allows you to win a game or lose a game in so many ways.
Not a perfect game but threw a no hitter with Cory Luebke against the DBacks. Got squeezed on some pitches so allowed one walk. But team did have 3 errors... Most errors in one game for me in awhile.
Congrats on perfect game. I came so close but will take this:
Just threw a NO HITTER with Jeff Samardzija on Opening Day 2014! Should have been perfect game but Ump missed splitter on the corner on 2-2 count. Next pitch just a bit high for ball 4 but got next guy to hit into DP. So 27 up and 27 down. Never so nervous playing a game before lol
I imagine throwing a perfect game in The Show is 10 times harder than throwing one in real life due to the AI's God Mode ability to get hits when they're losing, so congrats to anyone who has accomplished this feat!
This will probably be the only post this board will see of one of my games, but I couldn't resist. After hundreds of games played over several The Show versions, I just pitched a perfect game with Buehrle in a 3-0 win on the road over Atlanta.
He opened the game with 5 strike outs through 2 innings, and finished with 9k on 92 pitches. This is on All Star (default CPU batting sliders), meter pitching.
