Re: Did you ever see/get an ejection?

Since the "fighting" part is not allowed, I think they should at least add the cut scenes where benches come onto the field and "gather" and the umps can throw out warnings or ejections or show bench players get on the steps/railings and yell at the pitcher.

Thanks for the answers guys. I guess it's just random, rare, and on close plays for an ejection.

If you argued a call that was obviously correct you would get tossed no matter how much (or in this case little) you button mashed triangle for enthusiasm
I remember that, it was awesome lol.

Re: Did you ever see/get an ejection?

What's up guys. I'm new here, and since I don't yet have new topic posting "privileges", this looked like as good of a topic for my ? as any.
I've actually been playing this game since it came out in March, and the mode that I spend the most time playing is regular season mode...currently 88 games in.
Anyway, I guess you could say it recently started feeling just a little monotonous feeling for me. So I went into the gameplay settings and started looking around and making a couple tweaks...well that is mainly, I just turned off the umpire variable balls and strikes/close plays, in favor of accurate calls. Yeah it is kind of cool for the first 10 games or so to have more realistic umpires, but after 88 games of constantly seeing the same strikes being called balls, etc, etc...got to be a little bit old.
So that got me to thinking, and looking around at some other options for the first time in several months. I know that check swing appeals and ejections have been options that I've had turned on all along, but I just haven't been too mindful of them, because neither of these things have been in my control, to be honest. I rarely do check my swing, but even when I do, probably less than half the time, does the home plate umpire ask for an appeal. And ejections have been nearly non-existent in my 88 games so far. The only times I can recall seeing anybody ejected, is usually pitchers after hitting their third or so batter, and occasionally when the batter charges the mound in retaliation (although this seems to be a super rare reaction).
So to cut to the chase. My question is...is there any way possible to actually initiate a check swing appeal or to argue a call, yourself? Even like I said, with the umpire balls and strikes and umpire close plays options now both switched off, in favor of more accurate calls, thus theoretically eliminating the need to argue calls or to appeal a check swing call...they're both still just kind of things that I would like to be able to do, once in a blue moon, just for kicks. Or are those options only in the game as something the AI may or may not periodically do on its own, to add to the realism?
        Thanks.

Just saw 2 in the same game on calls at first base. Playing 08 though.

To the best of my knowledge, you cannot argue anything yourself. It's just a cutscene and appeals are initiated by the catcher. In RTTS, I don't think you control appeals as the catcher either.

Re: Did you ever see/get an ejection?

Ive seen just one....I(The Mets)got Jon Neise ejected durring a game against Miami after hitting Adainy Hechivaria. They had already plunked me twice, so I thought it was about time to strike back.
              Let's Go Mets!!!
