Even though I'm a Jays fan in real life (painful as it is ) I've almost always used NL teams in my Show seasons/franchises. I remember '06 when Dontrelle Willis and Carlos Zambrano were beasts and I always used to pick at least one of them in my fantasy drafts or trade for one of them. Just more fun to watch too when a team (or both) has a good hitting pitcher, adds a different element.

I used to watch the Expos as well but since they left I slowly migrated toward the Phillies for my NL fix. Just more entertaining ball.

I'll add to that as well. In their short sightedness (stupidity), adding the DH has actually changed the culture of baseball in general to where it's a who cares about defense and base running as long as the guy can hit attitude. Sweet.

Now everyone in the media's uber crazy about Mike Trout. Why? Aside from the fact that he's phenomenal, he's part of a dying breed of ENTERTAINING baseball players that since the mid 90s has grown largely extinct. Reason: Bud Selig's effort to "save baseball" by cashing in on inflated muscles and slugging percentages. Players naturally followed suit because more home runs meant more attention and of course $$$.

Sorry Bud but I'd rather watch a young Ken Griffey Jr. or Rickey Henderson than a young Manny Ramirez or David Ortiz.

LOL Sorry man.. I get on my Soap Box. Actually I was responding to a post that has vanished now that essentially was saying that being against Interleague Play was old man stuff. That I should get with the times.
So that was my Editorial Comment in response to that particular post.
