Re: MLB 14 The Show Wishlist
have to chime in and throw in my wishes for future shows.
Other people have already mentioned some of these, but it cant hurt to ask for these again.
I am a really hardcore chise player, I love playing through multiple seasons building up a team yada yada, but during the season I have no idea what the rest of the league is doing.. I keep an eye on the league leaders and standings but I really dont know who is doing what. There is no story to any of my seasons besides my own teams. Look at what madden did, they used a simple twitter feed and suddenly brought life to your league. It seems lame at first but it does the job of keeping you informed of what other teams are doing. so something like that would be sweet.
I want more stats! A ****load more stats. Look this would be every baseball fans dream... if The Show and OOTP combined! Use the second screen, have our franchises connected online, have player pages that go more in-depth than the normal player card, Just imagine if the show used a system like OOTP uses.... it would be amazing. I want to do roster moves on my computer or tablet or phone.. It would make trade searching and team scouting easier and alot more fun.
Also with stats, give me super in depth pitching and batting analysis.
Maybe they can use a scout system and have them give us scouting reports on upcoming opponents, and on players.
Bringing in some kind of player moral system would be cool too.
Now onto gameplay.
Please for the love of yaz give us more exciting commentary. I broke Dimaggios 56 game hitting streak and nobody said a freaking word about it... I was so let down... cmon baseball IS RECORDS, the entire sport is about legacy and emotion. They HAVE to address that, make it a special moment when one of your players does something like that in game.. as a whole the commentary is good, but it should be great..
The whole new playoff atmosphere is a joke, its a start i guess, but a weak one.. I'd love to really feel the tension in the air in october, all we have now is a slightly louder dumb crowd.. I want the ballpark on thier feet when the home team is one strike away from getting out of a jam, or about to win. Goto fenway park in October and listen to what real baseball fans sound like, then redo your playoff atmosphere.
Add cut scenes, idk use your imagination, how bout showing the team that won the WS last season get their rings on opening day, or some kind of cool ceremony, yadda yadda. Make the WS truly something special.
oh ya and id like to see less A prospects in the drafts, or increase the cpus ability to draft like a human.. your team is always stacked by year 5 or so. make it harder, a challenge to build a winner.
