If you played MLB '08 or '09 you would have seen them.
There was a little cut scene where the pitcher would walk behind the mound ....hold one nostril and let loose with the other.
SCEA was asked to and did remove it by request of the MLB.

hey knight why dont they make an adult version and regular version of the game? dont know how difficult it would be to do. then we could have arguments short cut scenes of mound charging my manager being thrown out to affect morale of team. snot rockets, players arguing with umpires to stuff like that. tatoos. or have a sensor where the parents can block for the younger market? just curious what you think. beeasy on me, LOL!

If you're asking seriously......the MLB dictates what SCEA can and cannot portray in the game due to licensing and contract.
Basically, what they say goes(or doesn't).
It's not really up to SCEA in regards to some of these things.

Will player creation options be expanded at all in the PS4 version? (Accessories? Hairstyles? Expansion of the batting stance editor?)

Now that I think about it, will the batting stance editor be built upon in the PS3 version?

Also will uploads to the vault (OSFM for example) be cross-platform between the PS3 and PS4?

(Off topic) I always found the snot rocket scene to be gross haha. I was never a fan of it. Even the phrase makes me gag.

If you're asking seriously......the MLB dictates what SCEA can and cannot portray in the game due to licensing and contract.
Basically, what they say goes(or doesn't).
It's not really up to SCEA in regards to some of these things.

MLB really needs to revisit some of these policies. Internally they've been discussing how to get "younger" as their audience continues to age. For New Era the on-field caps will be constructed with the material from the Diamond Era 59FIFTY (last year's BP cap) for 1/2 of the games on the '14 schedule (WORN DURING THE GAMES). The material is lighter and the younger players have been asking for it... and the Diamond Era's sales were huge last year with fans. It's one area I've recently seen the MLB budge. Realism in MLB The Show is only a good thing. Hopefully they can embrace some of the raw elements of the game for fans!

What are the chances only MLB 14 The Show PS3 and Vita versions will be on display for the public and the PS4 version will only be shown behind closed doors to select people at CES?

My guess is they show the PS4 version but only the ps3 and vita will be playable.

I totally understand. My comment was a tangent... hoping to point out that the MLB is recognizing they need to "get younger" and be flexible with some of their hardline stances on how the game is viewed by younger fans.

"Snot Rockets", for better or worse, are part of the game.
