What? Just because i referred to it as a problem first, doesn't change the fact that people were giving reasons as to why we might not see espn or mlb network integration in the show, ie. problem solving.

You're too fixated on the word problem to understand my input i guess.

The problem is that the presentation in The Show is horrible. A possible solution would be to add a real network like ESPN or MLB Network to improve that.

It's not a hard conversation to follow.

I would love to see MLB Network added in the future version of MLB The Show.
        MLB: Chicago Cubs
        NFL: San Diego Chargers
        NHL: Chicago Blackhawks
        NBA: Chicago Bulls

According to who though? You and Factzzz?

I disagree and this is the first I've read about it being an issue.

This is just going to escalate into another real brands/equipment thread.

Presentation (including real brand names) is not exactly a problem, per se. Having a bad game would be a problem. Nobody has captured the game as much as SDStudios has and that is why they are still around at all. The realism in this game is the engine and transmission, presentation is more like heated seats. Some people are really used to having a working car while others are grateful for it because they remember all of the jalopies of the past until High Heat and The Show.

Total MLBTS sales across all Sony platforms (PS2/3/P/V)
              3,760,000

Total MLB2K sales across all platforms (Sony, MSX, Wii) WITH the exclusive licensing
              2,470,000

That should show you how important an ESPN (or any other network) presentation is.

Yeah! That's the point! Even with their great presentation, great commentary and exclusive MLB licensing, they still sucked.
Why? Because their gameplay was a mess and it showed in their sales.

Fox would be the way to go here. Most MLB games are on Fox Sports Net. But with the power of PS4, you would think multiple network presentations and commentary would be possible.

Where did you find these figures? I'm wondering if we couldn't cut out the Wii numbers for instance for a comparison on only the same platforms to account for those who bought it because it was the only offering for that platform.

We seem to have this thread each year and each year we have to constantly drill into peoples minds that the ESPN license is not up for grabs, EA has it for the moment and it's likely to not change. Also likely not to change is SCEA not using a broadcast partner. We've asked for them to even change from MLB on the Show to something like the SCEA network and the response was they needed to advertise the brand. I don't buy it but it looks like thats what we are stuck with. Sometimes I do wish people would use the search engine.

                            I added them together.

No because then it would only be MLBTS vs XBOX and those are not accurate numbers.

Franchise vs Franchise is the only way to compare.

Why do we have to insult the other game? We know this, no need to pile on to people who won't even have a baseball game for this year.

Im not insulting the other game. Im stating facts in regards to THIS thread.

This thread says MLBTS needs a Network Presentation.
The argument is that it does not. Because it is not the presentation that makes the game good, its the gameplay and the best example to that is 2K. Great presentation, horrible gameplay, no longer on the market.

Im sorry if youre offended by people in an MLBTS forum not supporting 2K, but thems the brakes kid!
I have absolutely no sympathy for them.
