Yes! what effect are you using? They look a little weird when you discolor the face. Are you lowering the opacity of the player to get the background to come through? Or are you doing a hard light? I can't tell what your going for.

I was just playing around with different kinds of blend modes, I made a duplicate of the player, had the top one Linear light and used a High Pass filter and the second one Multiply with no filter. Then I messed with the Shadows and Highlights and tweaked the Contrast...

I basically was going for something different than yours but I still used yours as inspiration. But I guess it was a little over the top lol...

I still can't figure out how you get the players so clear, I know PNG are better quality than JPEGs but regardless, your picture quality is outstanding. I've tried using some noise reduction tool but can't figure it out, I just started using Photoshop in the fall, still so much to learn lol...

It's a lot of trial and error, some of the one's I made I want to go back and re-do after I learn a new technique. check out youtube for some good tutorials.

do you have any plug in filters or just the standard that come with PS? are you familiar with layer masks?

I just have the standard ones, I dont have much experience with layer masks. I've tried to use them before but dont really know how. And trial and error is the best way I've learned, whenever I've had a question or want to learn a new technique I take to google or youtube lol. Thanks for your help!

Decided to throw a cover together. Last year I wanted to make a cover with one player from each team, but got lazy and settled for maybe a dozen.

I'm still pretty lazy so most of the images I used are ones I found online (PNG). I'll probably do some more with it, maybe a cluster type of a cover like I did last year (MLB 13 PS3 Cover).



With Jeter instead of Tanaka

Alternate with the "seams" logo. Looking at the cover they've gone to one without the baseball seams.

I couldn't see them from my phone, but at home on PC can see them fine
