That's what I'm doing. I've been slowing saving money from my crappy post-graduation part time job. I finally have enough saved to get the PS4, but I have no idea when The Show is coming out, so I can't decide if I can borrow from that money to pay off other things, or if I can just hold on to it if the game has a March release. I'm trying to decide on if I am going to go to Florida for Spring Break or not, and a large part of that decision will come based on when The Show comes out and if I can borrow from my PS4 funds or not to go on vacation. Basically, it's a real pain in the *** right now to not have any answer.

Went to my ebgames in toronto today. They said April 1st is only a place holder date. They have not recieved any confirmation yet on a release date. They haven't even recieved confirmation for the rating , it's still listed as rating pending.

They said anyone claiming that they have been told April 1st is the official launch either a) was told by someone who knows someone that work with SCEA (if that turns out to be the actual release date)or was mislead by a employee of GameStop/ebgames that doesn't know the difference between a place holder date and an official release date.

Yeah, it's obviously a placeholder date. Although I imagine it's not too far off the real release.

The longer we wait for a release date announcement the more I think the PS3 and PS4 version will be hitting at the same time.

If it was simply a case of the PS4 version releasing late I think the PS3 version would have released the first week of launch, as usual. Instead, they are lining them up to release at once.

I kinda get that feeling too. That also has me thinking that we might see a release date in March as opposed to April.

They're simultaneously building two different games, but if they're to release at the same time, I can't imagine they'd make PS3 gamers wait because PS4 gamers have to wait.

Things MIGHT be further along than we actually think (complete speculation...partly because it makes sense, but mostly because I wanna use my PS4 for more than watching the Breaking Bad blu-rays)

I'm really beginning to believe that some people on here are just wasting their days away on here waiting for that little confirmation of a release date. Refresh, refresh, refresh...is being patient that hard? It's a release date for a video GAME. I really can't understand why this has turned into a life or death situation. Just accept the fact that the date hasn't been released yet, and until confirmation is given from the main source then all other speculation is just that...speculation. Stop ripping your hair out.

It's usually hard to tell which is worse every year, but I think this year it's clear it's what's been happening on here the past few weeks.

Then again, every year brings something new, so I can see the apocalypse coming for some people on here if OSFM isn't done in the time people deem appropriate.

It's the same thing with OSFM as it is with news on the game each year. Be patient, act like an adult, and in the end you will get a great product.

SCEA has done me a favor by not publicly committing to a release date for their MLB 14 title. The original plan for myself was to buy a PS4 around this time frame and then pickup the MLB 14 game in March when we originally thought it might be released. But I race a Rotax DD2 kart in the real world and over the winter months I had to rebuild my engine as well as make some other costly repairs to my Kart's chassis to make sure it is in tip top shape ready for the 2014 race season and the bill for the engine rebuild as well as the other repairs has come in and it will cost me more than anticipated. So since I have not yet picked up the PS4 console, I can defer this purchase for a year and put the money towards the Kart engine rebuild and chassis repairs.

However I am still on the fence as far as picking up the PS3 version of MLB 14 or playing MLB 13 another year and it sure would be nice if SCEA gave us info concerning the PS3 iteration. I can totally understand them wanting to make sure the PS4 version was not buggy. But the PS3 version shouldn't have the same issues, unless of course they only have a skeleton crew working on it.

Just to throw this out, (dont know if already posted) I was just browsing target \s website and noticed release dates for ps3 version was 4/1 and ps4 was 4/15. First time ive seen 2 dates for the diff versions.

Interesting.

I do believe that 4/1 was a placeholder for awhile but when you look at the date it makes perfect sense so I did believe that eventually it would be the release date for the ps3.

I think most have been interested in the release date for the ps4.

I'm assuming we will know for sure on Thursday.
