First time I've ever seen The Show in action. WOW! Where is this attention to detail in football gaming?

As someone who only plays PS3 Franchise mode, I cant say anything looks that exciting to me. The idea of "more responsive fielding" doesn't really move me because I couldn't recognize the "improved ball physics" from last year. all that being said, I wouldn't' be too disappointed with a "glitch-free" roster update. A this point, all I care about is better commentary (which looks like another loss) and more options in franchise mode (bring back the newspaper, event scheduling, etc), more interactive budgets, etc.

Hopefully we will get some news on those things

Agreed all I ask for is better stat tracking in franchise mode, and actual improved trade logic and better budgets. I am sure these may make into PS4 but not PS3, and I do not feel like getting PS4 for awhile. When it's all said and done I don't think the PS3 version will be that much different than last year,

Obviously some of you have not been following this thread as a developer has stated on more than one occasion that the PS3 version WILL NOT be a paint job.

I am sure these may make into PS4 but not PS3,
When it's all said and done I don't think the PS3 version will be that much different than last year,

Russell already said the PS3 & PS4 versions will be identical, minus the graphic quality.

So youre either SOL on all fronts, or youre jumping the gun just a bit.

Im betting on the latter.

Liking the new overlays. Looks great so far.

With that said, Im going to wait on the PS4 version of the Show. Im going to get the vita version though for franchise play while I am at work or away from my home. I would have probably gotten the PS3 version too but my PS3 took a poop the other day (YLOD) so I am without a PS3 now. I didnt want to get a new one since I already have a PS4 and an Xbox one and dont have the time to play all 3 consoles. Im hoping the PS4 version comes out around the same time as the PS3 version but am ok if it comes out in April as well.

I hope so then. I just remember reading here around the forums there were a lot of things the developers wanted to do with the PS3 game but couldn't because they maxed the PS3 abilities, but they would be able to do more with PS4.

I have to say I was one of the guys always asking for Sony to add the team logos to the scorebug and when they finally added them MLB 13 The Show I was very happy with it. However after seeing the new scorebug in MLB 14 The Show I have to say I am liking it even more now without the team logos. It kind of looks more professional and less crowded without the team logos so am I glad Sony decided to remove them. And of course I love that the total pitches thrown is now on the scorebug. And it could just be my eyes but the new scorebuig actually looks even smaller now

Also I noticed in the base running window it now says Speed and Steal.

Fantastic, and a big thank you to the OP for the videos.

I really like the new dynamic camera, though I will be cutting off the ball trail. One thing I love about this series is how authentic it can feel to the real game. But I understand the reasons for adding it. I really am digging the new score overlay.

You know what makes this game so great? And I mean this seriously.
There is something for everyone. No 2 gamers play this game exactly the same way and MLBTS affords you those options. There is so much On/Off capability that it makes this game top notch so far above the others.

It appears to me that the Pittsburgh skyline is missing in the second video. Could it be that it's getting some additional work and wasn't ready to be put into the build on display here? Or is it more likely that PNC got a fresh layer of proverbial paint and they simply haven't added the old skyline in yet?

...or both? Either way that would be great for me personally as I've spent the last 7 years of my life in Pittsburgh and love that skyline and that ballpark more than words can describe. Even if I am jealous of the team that calls it home's recent success.

Or have I simply overlooked the buildings?

It's an early BETA version so i wouldn't worry. Pretty much guarantee the skyline will be there when the game drops.

The first batter in the first video I was watching the ball on his hit into the outfield and it actually bounced twice and then off the wall " more ball physics" with the outfielder having to play the ball more, it did not act like a hockey puck going into the outfield. Looked more realistic to me, JMO.

How do you know we can shut off the ball trail in that camera view?
