For what it is worth, as a journalist (not video game jorno) I can tell you that embargoes are not unique to the video game world (as stated earlier in this thread) and for those saying that SCEA wouldn't want to get beaten on their own information, most embargoes come with a date AND time.

All that being said, I'm excited to finally be getting some new info, love The Show. Even better my gf got me a PS4 for my birthday today!

I think i saw PSNation say the embargo time was 9 a.m. central time on Thursday, so unless SCEA is releasing news tonight or tomorrow, they'll probably get beaten on their own information

For what it is worth, as a journalist (not video game jorno) I can tell you that embargoes are not unique to the video game world (as stated earlier in this thread) and for those saying that SCEA wouldn't want to get beaten on their own information, most embargoes come with a date AND time.

All that being said, I'm excited to finally be getting some new info, love The Show. Even better my gf got me a PS4 for my birthday today!

Missed that post, but that's pretty cool that it is fairly early in the day. We also have to take into account that SCEA is still in control of the info that is getting out. Still no word on what was shown at this point. Whatever it is, it is sure to be good.

As long as we get some kind of visual of the PS4 verison as well as good info on other new additions (to franchise, etc) then I'll be happy. If its a release date and a video showing the PS3 verison, then I wont be jumping up and down. The release date will be great though, because then we finally know when and were. And by video, I mean one that's a minute where Ramone is blocking the screen:P In a minute, not much will be revealed and obviously we won't really see the game anyways.

If it's true we aren't going to get any PS4 footage on Thursday then that really sucks I wanted to see what it's going to look like. Hopefully they will at least give us a screen shot of the PS4 version to hold us over. I'm hoping if they do release the PS4 version after the PS3 one hopefully it's not that long after.

.... any publication that happens to release info either today or tomorrow could run the risk of being blackballed in the future (Pastapadre maybe??).

Yeah I'll give Double P credit for not being a company man for any of the se companies. It cost him some "exclusives" but he's never been one to fake the funk.

I don't get the concern over the lack of info for this game - at least in regards to release dates etc. If it releases a few weeks later on PS4 it's really not that big of a deal. I just hope the delay in "feature dropping" doesn't mean the game only has minor improvements outside of the graphical updates. I'd like to see an overhauled franchise mode and I HIGHLY DOUBT they'd wait until a months before the game to release that info if it was the case. Game will be dope regardless. Guess we will find out the rest Thursday.

We wont see anything until Thursday. As far as I know from PSNation post highly doubtful we will see any PS4 footage on Thursday, but who knows?

Respecting embargo dates isn't really "being a company man", it just means you want to keep strong relations with that company/any company. As far as any other reasons, I have no idea, I don't really pay attention enough to know which publications favor whom or which ones think what, but I just wanted to point out that respecting embargo dates doesn't mean that you are now a hype man.
