You know, there is a new MLB14/PS4 forum. Maybe you would be better suited over there.

People need to get the heckout of whatever last gen did to them. Many of us moved on from 720p and flat lifeless textures over 5 years ago.

It's honestly been about 3-4 years since I even played a PS3 to completion or was awed by a game. I can't kill that system fast enough though it is still my bluray player. PS3 was dated after 2010 or so... after that I never really bothered much with it except on PSN and Sony exclusives. The rest looked like 2005 to me including the Show which started to look like barf to me the last couple years.

Graphics are essential to enjoying a game for many people. It's one of the reasons I haven't personally bought a Show game since 11. I have been waiting for better hardware. The PS3 was a terrible system if you give it a truthful overview. Awesome but terribly complicated CPU joined by a horrid GPU. Not really something that can last 10 years. Last gen is most likely to be the longest gen ever and good riddance.

No one in their right mind wants to watch PS3 level graphics for the next 5 years of baseball.

i wish you had put the bolded part at the beginning of the post, then I could have stopped reading there.

At this point i worry about graphics wayyy more than gameplay because i already know the gameplay is basically perfect.

I don't really understand why the system quote was taken out of context. Objectively, the system design was atrocious and it never had enough memory for anything. Most games run at 20-30 FPS in sub 720p land if they are not made by Sony or in the last year or two. All the horrify losses and problems Sony had with the PS3 have now been rectified with the PS4, a superior engineering design in every conceivable way. I have a PC. It the only thing that saved me the last two years. But I do enjoy playing with my Sony pads on PC as well.

10 year old system still puts out some pretty decent looking games. Not perfect but pretty damn good looking games. I don't know what games you have been playing but The Uncharted series looks good. So does TLOU. Black Flag looks great as does The Show and GTAV. The PS3 is not a state of the art computer and obviously cannot be compared to that. A boatload of games look like crap but I don't bother with them. I have no complaints with my PS3 library and look forward to the next step in gaming.

Hey guys...sorry if this has been commented on.

Has there been anything said about additional stats, at least to the player cards or them being saved from season to season so we can go back to them whenever we want. Why dont they instill stats overlay like the back of baseball cards. Any word on any of this?

I have been hoping for years that you blast a homer into the stands and have a fan catch the ball, or many fans scatter for the ball and one pick it up. With the mini list coming out I saw that fans can catch foul balls and pick up balls in foul territory.

                            What are your guys thoughts.

I know it is a "little thing", but think it will make the realism over the top if added

I still haven't seen anything mentioned about fans catching home run balls though.

I hope they can Lol Im going to go ahead and assume they'll be able to catch homers since they can catch foul balls.
