What?
You mean if I want to create a challenge of a historical game...setting it up so that certain historical goals must be achieved or even changed....I can do that?
Can we load custom rosters into this?

It would be pretty neat to recreate some of baseball's historical moments. The game of baseball is so much about history that this could be a nice touch if you indeed can use custom rosters.

Me being a Pirates fan, I think of certain situation like Bill Mazeroski in Game 7 of the 1960 World Series against the Yankees when he the walk off home run. And there are so many other great moments in baseball history. This mode could be a lot of fun.

So I'm just looking through the 5 different threads that were updated today, after working this morning... and I'm thinking, you know what would be great? Just one neat list with everything we know so far, about The Show.

The Fact sheet has some things... then that article has some other stuff not in the fact sheet, then the video shows some things not in the article... and so on.

It's pretty overwhelming!

I mean I've been sifting through these threads for at least 30 minutes now and this is what I've retained so far:

1. MLB '14 The Show will be coming out this year
2. It will have ball boys/girls

I was feeling the same way. I am just trying to read the main pieces from Sony, and then seeing the trailer, screenshots, ext. All the other articles are mostly just opinion, which is fine if you have time to read them.

Me being a Pirates fan, I think of certain situation like Bill Mazeroski in Game 7 of the 1960 World Series against the Yankees when he the walk off home run. And there are so many other great moments in baseball history. This mode could be a lot of fun.

Just the one I was thinking of.

....also meeting or beating Reggie's three homers in 1977 World Series would be cool....

Is this really what its saying? Id like to know the depth of this. is possible to replay history from the beginning? lol or at least the lowering of the mound? ahahaha

could it carry over more than a single game?

One of the features I loved on the old PS2 versions of ncaa football was replaying the historical scenarios (Flutie's hail mary, etc.), but without those historical rosters, it seems a little pointless to me. So here's hoping they allow this.

Not a franchise mode....

It's in game scenarios.......

You set the parameters.....upload it and have others try and meet the goals.

I meant to say for Current Gen. And I say they haven't because NBA 2K, and Madden rarely do.

Also, The Show hasn't really touched it's Franchise Mode once.

I hope so, but I am certainly not getting my hopes up. It has needed a lot of improvements for years now and it's gone unchanged.

Was really hoping they kept quiet this long just to hit us with the "New Nike, Under Armour & Evo-Shield gear available" bullet point...maybe next year. Still super pumped for this year's game though.

A few changes off the top of my head that I have wanted for years:

Toning down Progression and Regression
More roster options (Non-roster invites for spring training, rehab assignments ...etc)
Having stats on the back of player cards for their career, not just the last 3 seasons
Improved FA system (There are no negotiations, just a contract screen)
Incentive based contracts
Being able to negotiate a new contract with one of your young players in-season (Also maybe include agents?)
Trade Finder like 2K and Madden
Create a Stadium, and Team (Like in All-Star Baseball)
Ability to hire, fire GMs (Also have different personalities for them)
