I'm assuming this means A-F will no longer be an option or even seen, I would assume that player x's potential is a 92 so to you and me, we see that as an A.

        Ramone Russell

MLB 14. Well done. I wanted to say the next generation for the franchise is looking fantastic. I have a baby coming soon, in honor of your hard work I am naming it after you. GF is upset though, due to the fact we are having a girl. #TheShow4Life

I can just see the veins popping in Knight's neck when the topic of numbered potential ratings comes up.

[*]Refined player generation, with more position-specific attribute ranges (Online Franchise)[*]New contract decision logic, which factors in contract renewable and arbitration status more heavily (Online Franchise)[*]New lineup logic that takes into account secondary positions (Online Franchise)[*]Refined trade logic (Online Franchise)

These are the things I most hope made it to offline. Like Knight, online doesn't really work for the way I like to use franchise mode.

Online franchise is going to be great for those that want to play online franchises! Really exciting stuff! !

So the bullet points listed for "online Franchise" are we to assume they are not included in anyway for offline as well?

I really don't know. But I kind of hope it is something like that. Although I do like having a Letter. Meaning that we see an A but don't really know if it is a 99 or a 92. Not a big difference but it could mean a big difference when skills start to decline. If somebody is a 99 and drops 3-5 points nor real big deal. But if a 92 drops 3-5 points he isn't an A anymore.

I hope that makes some kind of sense????

Completely re-done catcher animations suite (over 150 all-new catcher animations)

Perhaps my #1 requested feature. The catching animations have been stale for years.

I really, really, really hope this means we will finally see catchers frame pitches, set-up high and actually place their gloves on the corners. Somehow missed this when I first read it as I glanced over the first few "facts", but this is huge!

Also, echoing what people have been saying that I hope some of the (Online Franchise) additions. I have ato assume stuff like trade, contract and lineup logic and other stuff must be in the offline version as well. That would be really frustrating to only have it available in the online mode. It has to be, I cannot see San Diego specifically adding in new logic to the online mode and leaving it out of the offline mode. Unless they are specifically referring to some form of logic that onyl affects two or more players... I hope we get clarification on this.

Hopefully that it will also mean they will animate correctly coming out of the crouch when fielding a ball in front of the plate. Should eliminate the jack rabbit sprint where he has the ball before the batter is out of the box.

I hope so too, but even if the behind the plate aspect of the catcher animations is improved with more variety that will be a huge step up.

The fact that you can tag a runner out on a dropped 3rd strike is pretty crazy, the issue of the cather getting up too fast should be addressed like you said.

                                No...I meant to.
Mid season contracts are not an option this year. This would require a complete rework of the franchise logic....in just about every aspect.
I do expect to see this in future versions.

It's more like this....and a 90-99 will be an A....and unless you go into the editor, you won't know exactly which # it is.

You will still see the potential letter, but you won't know the exact number on the player card or manage screen...just in the editor...

This is more in line with what it is.....number translates into letter.
