I wonder if the players in the base runner windows will now have there name and numbers on the back of their jerseys instead of being blank like there are in the PS3 versions?

Re: MLB 14 The Show Fact Sheet (PS Vita, PS3, PS4)
The only thing I care about regarding this is if the AI will chase pitches in the dirt. The other issues with the batter AI I can live with. You have to pitch differently to The Show AI batters than you would a real MLB batter. When you have a batter 1-2 after 3 fastballs on the corner, a 99 movement splitter in the dirt should at least warrant a flinch. Pitches that routinely get MLB hitters don't have the same effect in The Show.. Its been discussed on here at length over the years, but if the AI hitters now swing at in-the-dirt pitches at a realistic frequency it could change how you pitch in The Show completely.Yes I want to see CPU chase pitches out of the strike zone more. CPU reaction to breaking/off-speed pitch has been steadily improving IMO, but where it still fails is that we still have to battle around the strike zone. You cannot really take the CPU batters way out of the zone and expect them to be fooled. That's something I want to see more as well.
Universal Profile (PS3 & PS4) - A new tendency-tracking system monitors and records gamers’ unique playing styles. Those patterns are stored in the Universal Profile, which can be viewed by anyone looking to get a quick scouting report on the player. The Universal Profile can also be subbed in in place of a CPU opponent in Diamond Dynasty and Online Franchise, making for more realistic head-to-head matchups when schedules prevent synchronous play.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Fact Sheet (PS Vita, PS3, PS4)
I think this was just all about there being 1 jersey template on ps3, basically the same with the Yankees' numbers being too low on the jersey. If the Yankees' number problem is fixed, I don't see why there wouldn't be sleeveless jerseys on PS4. Don't take my word for it though, not 100% sure on it.NFL : Atlanta Falcons
MLB : Toronto Blue Jays

Yes it does read more closely CPU plate discipline rewritten lol I'll believe when I see it every batter has eye of Ted Williams up thereComment

A lot of great additions to the game, no doubt. But, the one question I have is how the "Year-to-Year Saves" will work. As it stands, I but The Show every-other year (largely due to not wanting to start over). Will I be able to keep a save from 14 for 16? Can I keep a save from 14 on PS3, and take it to 15 on PS4? If not, that puts the brakes on my enthusiasm for the concept (but just a little bit. Simply not losing 3-5 seasons of RTTS/franchise is almost enough to warrant $60/year.)"You guys pair up in groups of three, then line up in a circle."

As of now its a mystery. It's something that we all hope happens. It would be a huge bummer if the improvements weren't in the base franchise mode.Comment

I agree like this one for example are there more stats stored for offline Franchise also?

Re: MLB 14 The Show Fact Sheet (PS Vita, PS3, PS4)
These ones seem like they would be part of any franchise mode as they are just behind the scenes logic improvements and maybe just a mistake that the (Online Franchise) was added. I just can't see them only implementing these improvements into the online franchise.
- Refined player generation, with more position-specific attribute ranges (Online Franchise)
- New contract decision logic, which factors in contract renewable and arbitration status more heavily (Online Franchise)
- New lineup logic that takes into account secondary positions (Online Franchise)
- Refined trade logic (Online Franchise)
These are obviously only for online franchise.
-New user management functionality at TheShowNation.com (Online Franchise)
-Make, accept, and vote on trades through TheShowNation.com (Online Franchise)
-Resolve and simulate games on TheShowNation.com (Online Franchise)
-League members can now manage games on TheShowNation.com (Online Franchise)
But these two.
- Retired players stored for every season (Online Franchise)
- More player stats stored for every season (Online Franchise)
They seem like they could be an online only feature if the data is store online and only accessible through the online franchise menus. I hope not, but they could have gone this route technically.Last edited by MrOldboy; 02-25-2014, 04:26 PM.Comment

Yeah, that I think is the big one. Something that's been requested for a long time.

I think this is the key.
I think this is likely for stats ....as storing on the4(saved data) or online servers is a big difference.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Fact Sheet (PS Vita, PS3, PS4)
To be honest, one of my greatest desires are:
non roster invites- this would be huge. I know people will be excited to try out guys who are deemed "wash outs" and have an impact.
Scouting-it was fantastic in 13. I would like to see more personality. I want scouts to value a player differently. It would add a new element to the game. I want scouts to overvalue and undervalue players in the draft.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Fact Sheet (PS Vita, PS3, PS4)
My hope is if that is the case you will have the option to have your data stored online for normal franchise mode. They added some online stat tracking for RTTS so I feel like this is possible.Comment
