Yes we reached our visual target on PS3 on MLB 12 or 13 can't remember exactly what version it was.

The way you guys go out of your way to answer questions and give us info is amazing, other companies should take notes. Really the only game I know that actually gives the consumer a voice in making the game, so to speak.

Now get me another developer blog a.s.a.p. haha.

Absolutely. Agreed 100%. SCEA:SD sets the bar year in, year out! And they're not only going out of their way to help answer questions, but they're doing it DURING CRUNCHTIME when they could easily be focused on just working like crazy to finish what they're doing. Russell, Kirby, Brian, Woody, everyone. THANKS!!!

I'm sure he'll post more. Let's ease up a little bit.
I did not mean this as a complaint and perhaps "trend" was a bad word to use. I guess I was simply looking to get Russell to possibly she'd more light on the dynamics of the gameplay a bit further which the dev blogs might do.

Or maybe you shouldn't expect finished graphics from an unfinished game.

It's like going to a construction site where all they've laid is a foundation, and saying "Well gosh, this building isn't very impressive."

I'm not trying to "defend" the game, I'm just advocating the use of common sense.

At this stage in development the graphics should be pretty much locked down, there might be a few performance tweaks here and there but that's it. The only thing that looks new about the player models are the faces, everything else (jerseys, skeleton, gear) looks like up-res'd PS3 assets. Now it could be that the lighting scenario did the textures no favors (the lack of shadows at Fenway made the jerseys look flat) and of course this game looks better in motion, but based on what we have seen thus far I am not ready to put it on NBA 2K's level.

Given how the PS3 version is one of the better looking games on the console, I was honestly expecting some graphical wizardry on the PS4 even on the first attempt, especially after seeing Killzone, Driveclub, Infamous, and The Order. If the jump doesn't occur until year 2 that's fine though, I remember how 08 was a huge leap compared to 07.

But are we seeing pictures from "this stage in development"?

Sure, I'll humor you that, today, on February 27, the SCEA team has likely finished graphics entirely.

But that has nothing to do with the content presented within the screenshots and videos. Screenshots and videos that were clearly not all recorded and assembled today. A lot of these things people are judging are probably over a month old, if not two or three.

I may be wrong but I don't think we have seen a pic since Ramone mentioned that the lighting was changed. I am sure that could change things.

Did you guys get to see the PS4 verison in action? And if so does it look better when you see it in motion, compared to still images?
