As for UP, I will only use it to monitor my tendencies. I also do not play online. Universal Currency is what I look forward to the most.

Good to know that the Universal Currency isn't ingrained into the game like in 2K14. I really wanted to like 2K14, but having to pay VC in order to perform basic functions like setting my lineup in GM Mode kinda ruined it for me. As long as the UC in The Show is used for RTTS points and the like, I'm completely cool with it.

I'm interested in seeing how the new Universal Profile works. I remember NFL 2k5 having it and it was really fun to play against a somewhat likeness of yourself. Hopefully the Show will have something that can match it. The Stubs... we'll see how it works but it looks to be like a "freemium" type thing. You can earn them through doing things, but they're easier earned through paying SCEA. I'm not too concerned about it though considering that most of the stuff you can by with Stubs looks to be the same as in years past.

UP derives data from online and offline games. The hitting/pitching difficulty is calculated based on what data we have -- it's basically an average with a few other factors taken into account for splits. If you strictly play DD, then your difficulties would be displayed as midway points on the difficulty bars, as DD uses All-Star difficulty.

As far as COTW goes, there are a few modes we don't accrue data in, and COTW is one of those. We also won't accrue data in Community Challenges, RTTS, HRD, and training modes. Tracking data in these modes skews things too much -- data becomes unreliable.

We only track the displayed tendencies in the UP.

This is a pretty cool feature, it'd be nice if they used something like this in RTTS to track your players tendancies, it'd be like a scouting report for you RTTS player.

The profile deals with DD and Online Franchise, neither of which exist on Vita.

Crap. Thanks, bcruise. I loved this type of feature in NFL 2k5 (which, by the way, kept all of that data for offline franchise games). I was looking forward to doing that with the Vita. Oh well.

I love the Universal Profile. This is basically just more statistics available to me. I think all games should have this sort of profile tracking thing.

I didn't even read the part about "Stubs" and I don't really care either way what those are or what they do.

As of right now I don't have internet to my ps3 so I've never played diamond dynasty. How does a budget work in this mode when the teams are created?

It already does, and in more detail:



What it doesn't do (AFAIK) is use those tendencies to determine how to pitch you over the course of your career - it doesn't carry that data beyond the game you're playing in, in other words.

Then again, given how upset people get about the CPU "cheating" and such, allowing it to have a "book" on you may not be the best of ideas.

Also, I'm pretty sure it tracks many more than 6 PA's - this screen is from early April and I'm not sure the guy HAS more that 6 PA's. This is the Locker Room screen from the RTTS menu, if you still have the game you can see the screen for yourself.
