Re: MLB 14 The Show Whos Got It??
Do you know how injuries factor in to players making the game or not? That's the one thing I've never understand about this. For example, Michael Pineda did not pitch in 2012 or 2013 but was in MLB 13. Will he be in MLB 14? Same goes for Dylan Bundy... pitched in MLs in 2012, but was injured all of 2013, so will he be in MLB 14? I just want to understand hahaComment

Just to clarify, you don't know if Jones and Davis' are different, but Tillman does have his own pitching style? Thanks again, and I'm actually a Phillies fan as well as Orioles! I'm a huge Philly sports fan in all the sports, but I have a soft spot for the O's bc I live in Maryland and have been to a lot of games.

Pineda was an example of this last year along with guys like Victor Martinez who was injured in 2012 but was in 13 and same goes for John Lackey and Scott Sizemore etc......
As long as Bundy was still on the O's 40 man last year while injured he should be in. Same goes with Pineda as well.Comment

Guys, I have some work to do, but I will try to answer what I can when I can. So easy to get sucked in and forget about work. Then next thing I know, I can't afford a game. lol
Just double-checked, the rosters are from the 11th.Last edited by Christian9; 03-24-2014, 03:21 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Whos Got It??
Ah, so trying to get this straight. Once a player debuts in the Major Leagues, he's in the game. As long as he stays on a 40 man roster, he will continue to be in the game? Even if he does not play in the Major Leagues the next season? I appreciate the help, I always knew there were rules regarding who they can put in the game, I just wasn't sure what they were. Now I won't have to stress over who's in or not in upcoming iterationsComment

I'm not sure about that, but Bundy and Pineda are both in.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Whos Got It??
As long as he makes his debut and submits his paperwork to the MLBPA that is correct he will be in the game. The only way he is stays in the game the following season from not playing is if he was on the team's 40 man roster and injured for the year if that all makes sense? Most 40 man players will play during September call ups so they'll be in the following year as long as they pitched in a game or got an at bat.Comment

I guess what people are confused about is if a player made a debut in 2012, did play in 2013 (minor leagues so not injured) and was in MLB 13. That player may not be in MLB 14. Is this the case? I've gotten confused on all of this due to conflicting posts.Comment

This has been my understanding as well.
