All I saw was him ask Russell if there would be an update before next week...

Braun is making the switch to RF this year... Khris Davis can only play LF.

Ouch, he did totally slip my mind. That's interesting

Also Beltran is not a top 9 right fielder? Cmon why all the Beltran hate this year?!
I think it's mainly due to the NY on his hat this year....the hate I mean.

For me, it's not because he's a Yankee. It's because he is 36 years old, you just don't see people that age be the best player at their position. Beltran has always been a very good player, but never seemed to reach elite status (and maybe that's because he played in KC & STL). Maybe it's not even a knock on Beltran but just the lack of quality RFs in the game today.

Beltran is definitely a top 9 RF. I would have thought his defense would have dropped him below a 90 OVR but the dude can still rake. Any plans to post pics of team lineups with the ratings visible? Pretty please? Cherry on top?

Gonna go ahead and be a homer: Posey is the #1 catcher. Someone at Sony needs to show their work.

Hes probably low because of his 2011 season.

That the season where he got dump trucked by Scot Cousins?

Molina is better and I'm not even a Cardinals fan to see that.

Very impressed with these OVR. I LOVE that the 90s are now for the elite talents and if your at 99 you are a rare breed...

BUT Jose Fernandez is too high, better than Wainwright, Verlander and Felix? The kids pitched for one year, hes great but come on now...

Yes. SCEA does ratings based on the last 3 years of service.
They only have 2 & 1/2 yrs on Posey. Im betting if he had a full 2011 he'd be #1.
But IDS a prob with him at #2.

Re: MLB The Show 14 - Top 9 Players at Each Position

Beltran should be top 9 based on being one of the best post season hitters ever alone...

people that think Beltran shouldn't be top 9 probably don't watch him enough on a daily basis.. he was one of the cards best players last year imo even at his age. He does every thing great as well.. he is a + runner.. + fielder + arm + hitter + power

if he stays healthy.. he is easily in the top 9 at his position.. the question on him will be his durability and staying healthy... but yeah if he stays healthy I would take him over many.. especially for the playoffs.. so this should knock some off his overall I guess but when healthy he is one of the best still at his position no doubt about that.

ps. no way in hell Posey is better than Molina all around.. MLB the show got that one right as well. Molina is all around the best at his position. yeah Posey is a better hitter but there is more important attributes for a catcher than just being a hitter and Molina wins in all them categories over Posey.... not to mention he is a pretty good hitter and is also clutch. why do you think the Cards have so many impressive young arms that succeed so early??? it's all because of Molina... Posey can't even come close to that Molina factor. Molina is like a manager.. pitching coach and one of the best defensive catchers I ever seen... not just in baseball now.
