Actually, I fully expect to land on a different difficulty on the Vita. Just from my experience with the past Vita versions, I've always found it more difficult to hit on there. Whether because of the 30 FPS or the smaller analog stick, I've never been as good at this game on the Vita.

Great point! I was too when I had a Vita. So maybe it WOULD be better for Vita owners to not have DD parity among platforms.

But having to start over on PS4 is a bummer, if again it doesn't transfer.

Does anyone know if "quick count" works in Show Live?

I only play Show Live....so far it looks like QC is not available in Show Live.

I hope I'm wrong.

MY BAD, I figured it out.

Whatever the setting for "quick count" is set on for exhibition game, that the setting used for a Show live game.

I know 1st year managers usually don't make it--I think its a licensing issue-- just too bad they cant be patched in

So i just read in the impressions thread that in the player editor they took out the ability to edit the cap brim style........Can anyone confirm this?


@ MrOldboy i can answer the manager question for you. Rick Renteria is NOT in the game there is a video on youtube of the Cubs and for the guy who asked about Matt Williams he isn't in either. The video keystone570 posted with Nationals/Yankees gameplay the manager for the Nats was generic.

So, what is the final verdict on Starting an Offline Franchise on this yrs PS3 version and being able to continue that offline Franchise on PS4??? Every thread I've searched just has people going back and forth with both Yes and No answers to this question.

Thanks man. I know I saw that in Keystones video, but that is also when creating a player. I am wondering if you can edit a Major League player though. I'm only asking cause I saw this in the impressions thread.

Some messing around in rosters. Plus one full 9-inn game, no quick counts, all-star pitch & hit:

- dynamic cam will take some getting used to but will eventually like it. basically the old low cam with added dynamic movement. freshens it up. actually like the ball trail option. bit arcadey, yeah, but different, for now at least.

- adding cap brim style last year only to take it away this year makes no sense whatsoever. loved that. please don't tell me that's some image license nonsense (along lines of not being able to change real MLB names).

- reading balls/strikes seems bit easier this yr. not sure why, but good. lost game I played but drew 4 walks on AS. that seldom happened yr ago.

- overall, best playing game out of box in PS 3 gen. did the usual cpu manager hook and pickoff slider downgrades but left everything else at default. pitch count for me was 159, 122 for cpu.

good stuff so far.

That does suck, I wonder why that's gone. It seems like some options got taken out as well (HR camera?), doesn't seem like SCEA to remove customization options like that.

Are you able to only use quick counts for batting? Can I chose to not have quick counts while pitching?

No once you turn it on it's for both pitching and batting only. Can't be changed to either or and it can't be changed once the game starts either. It's all or nothing pretty much.
