well the problem still not fixed but they are working on it they are askin wut internet service provider u have im guessing verizon fios is going to be the commin factor in this matter..its really annoying

I'm having the same problem and I'm on comcast. I contacted sony support and they said try again tomorrow and if it still doesn't work they would give me other options.

ya im tryin right now after a system restore an losing everything its deff on there side...did u by chance pre order this game an download it when it was released at midnight?

I bought it on Wednesday and have pretty much just let it download it over and over. I've done everything except the system restore that they've recommended.

i just did the system restore an did nothing but wipe out my hdd an all my stuff..i did back up the saves that would let me some i had to lose bc i didnt have ps plus.but i re downloaded mlb i didnt let it download in the backround i kept it up on my main screen it said downloading 1 of 2 an the 1st part finished an started installing while download was still going for part 2 an at 14% stopped my download an my install this is beyond annoying i pre ordered for a reason an ill be one of last to even play it

wow one dude has finally been able to download an install on his 12 try and i just finishedan didnt instal so i guess i got to keep friggen trying till it works

the problem isnt downloading i have downloaded it goin on 9 times now the problem is when u install it u get an error code at 14% everytime

i did a live chat online with a sony customer service person an they told me to hard wire my connection through ethernet cord or do the forward porting on a router....so i had to suck it up an go to my gf's grandma's house who despises me an use there internet they had cox high speed internet an a linskys router an i hooked up my ps3 to the router an i started the download again wholy f there internet was blazing fast and when i went to install an soon as it went from 14%to 15% i knew it was good an i finally got installed an was worth goin to my gf's grandmas house lol....wow what an experiencethis was but now i know from now on to go over there to do this

I had the same problem downloaded 2 times would not install. I called Sony and they will give me my money in 4 to 5 days I asked if i was the only one that had this problem they said no. So just buy the disc cause the download is not working and i don't think Sony has a clue why and by the way why is this game 21 gigs ain't that just a little funny or is that normal.

I have similar issues - but with the Disc version. I´ve received it yesterday and installed the update/the game itself on my PS4 successfully. But each time I tried to start the game the PS4 shut itself completly off. I had to restart it manually and then it booted in safety mode, ran an storage analysis (with no results). I didn´t receive any error code either. I´ve tried to start other games from HD and disc with no issues at all.

So I´ve disconnected the PS4 from everything for 30 min. Then I deinstalled the game as well as the update. After that Iisnerted teh disc again but stopped the download of the update. Game installed and started successfully. I ended it again and installed the update. Game started again and ran me through the tutorial while installing in the background. Midway through the third inning the game stops and I got a screen which told me " Can not use the application. The data for the following application is corrupted. Delet the application from teh PS4, and then isnert the disc again". Below that message the game icon and the only option "Close Application and Remove Disc".

Since I was rather far ahead in the installing process I took the easy/lazy way and just reinserted the disc. Tutorial started from scratch, Installing contniued where it stopped before. But after one inning same screen. I repeated the disc juggling. Tutorial restarted, Installation actually finished. But the fun lasted only a couple of minutes before I received that "Corrupt-Screen" again. So looks like I´m stuck at the tutorial :P

I´ve contacted SCEE about it (again, did so when the PS4 shut down), curious if/what hey will come up with. If anybody has some I advice - here´s a taker I would prefer to not reformat the whole HD since beside of several "Disc-Games" there are some Download-games on it as well. But if that´s the best way to get it done ...

I was able to get it working on the first shot. It took a ridiculous amount of time to download. This has always been an issue with me and my PS3 no matter what I do though. (Wireless, hardwired, put in the DMZ etc..)

I wonder if this is improved at all for the PS4. I download huge games through steam all the time with no issues. The PS3 is so clunky for this.
