MLB the Show PS3 Digital Copy Not Loading

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Did all the PS3 updates and re-downloaded the game. Game still stops loading after the Puig intro. Can anyone help? Wanted to get it working for my little nephews to play.

Not that this matters, but which year's game is it? Game was discontinued on PS3 two years ago.

It might be hanging because the servers are turned off, and the game is trying to connect to something that no longer exists. From the PS3 home, go to Network Settings > Internet connection and disable it. Then try loading the game and see if that works.

You'd have to re-enable the internet connection from the same screen if you want to go online, though.

Hope that helps. This is a little trick a lot of us used in past games when the servers were down and we just wanted to play offline.
