Re: If I don't even touch the right analog stick, can I still hit HR's?
Homers are not rare!! The right stick is used to influence a hit, it does not mean that if you push up on the right stick you will jack everthing out. I used the right stick for situational type things like sending a fly to the outfield so the runner on third could tag up. Poking gound balls through the infield, hitting to the opposite side of the infield to move runners along, things like that! Alot has to do with the type of pitch thrown. Sometimes I would try for a grounder but I would end up popping out.Originally posted by number 173“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory” -

Discrimihator, can you hit homers at a realistic pace without using right analog or are homers rare without using it? I ask because in MVP, you can really only hit homers if you hold up on the left analog.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: If I don't even touch the right analog stick, can I still hit HR's?
Exactly, I rarely use the right stick, unless i want a flyball to try to get a sac fly, or ground ball for say a hit and run.Originally posted by DiscrimihaterMarch 1.
on the original topic, as everybody else has said, you cah homer without touching right analog. heck, i barely use it.Comment

Re: If I don't even touch the right analog stick, can I still hit HR's?
I do not recall any fatigue. Players definately went through hot and cold streaks at the plate. Their hot and cold zones would change according to how they were performing at the plate. I don't remember sitting players down because of being fatigued.Originally posted by posterThanks Nemesis. Is their fatigue in the game, I know its in this years version but was it in last years? Re: If I don't even touch the right analog stick, can I still hit HR's?
nemesis pretty much nailed the question. homers come pretty realistically-some days you can't buy a homer and some days the ball will be flying outta the park. you should hit at least one or two on most days, depending on your team.Originally posted by number 173thanx fellas. edit: on fatigue, you're correct, there wasn't any season fatigue. it'll be cool to have this year though

Re: If I don't even touch the right analog stick, can I still hit HR's?
Nemesis, I have a question for you as I too am new to the franchise...
Does influancing the right analog stick up/down need to be done before the pitch or something?
With my left thumb occupying the left analog stick to aim, & my right thumb ready to hit "X" to swing, I simply don't have enough thumbs to acheive influancing my swing, too?
Thanks...

The right stick can be done before the pitcher deals or as it is coming!! I do it before he pitches that way I can concentrate on the pitch!! Good luck!!Originally posted by diamondw23Nemesis, I have a question for you as I too am new to the franchise...
