    CLAY RAPADA-RP (Rangers)

Delivery: there is NO from the set at the waist, glove up at head level, sidearmed, with a near stand-up delivery in the game...

Seay is not good, because the glove is up high at the set...and the dead-down follow-thru

Moylan aint the worse, but it's a bit too slow when synched up with the actual delivery

I'm going with Fuentes, and there's a few things I HATE about this delivery too!!!

There are only TWENTY...count 'em...TWENTY sidearm/submarine deliveries in this game.....

    He throws:

    4-seam 86mph

    slider 78mph

    *** (replacing change with) 2-seam 85mph

    sweeping curve 75mph

    cutter 86mph

*** in the two September games (54 pitches thrown) what I saw with MY eyes and compared with pitch break/fx were contradictory...

In this game out of the box, they say change up at about 81mph. On the pitch break/fx, EVERYTHING that was identified as a change up came in at 83-84mph. Not once, was a self-described change up on pitch break/fx tracked at 81...

On most of these very pitches, the ball moved like a sinking 2-seam; down and away from right-handed batters. Since his regular fastball and cutter were at about 86mph, I'm going with a 2-seamer @ 85mph.

Yes, some guys throw mid 80's changes, but they also have fastballs at about 95mph also--he doesn't come close.

      Delivery: Meche

      he throws:

actually I have 6 pitches, I left out his sinker; whic in the 100+ pitch game I tracked, he threw only four of them

      4 seam 93mph

      curve 80mph

      cutter 94mph

      slider 85mph

      change 84mph

            KENDRY MORALES

the video from the LEFT side; the side I ONLY use with switch hitters for obvious reasons: http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play****p?content_id=8473485

freeze at the 2 second mark
swivel the edit player a little to simulate the off camera angle

            now....

            his default: FAIL

Nady: I like the general hand/bat movement over the helmet, but Nady's is too much; whereas in real life, Morales' is sporadic in short bursts, if you will

            Zimmerman: FAIL

From the LEFT side, I settled on Aramis Ramirez

all of this BS in trying to find a close enough stance, when there ISN'T one, is what happens when there is no mo-cap in the game....

              Good find, Carew.

I also had thought about using the Jonny Gomes/Carlos Gomez stance or Gen. 24, but I didn't think those looked too good

hey, I got a 3-game set going against the Phils at Citi Field tonight. Now I have three lefties in my bullpen...along with three lefty starters lined up for each game, in this three game set.

                  The Phillies SUCK!

                  LOLOLOL

                  delivery: Wandy Rodriguez

                  he throws:

                  screwball: 79mph

                  curve: 80mph

                  sinker: 85mph

                  slider: 83mph

                  4-seam: 85mph

I just watched his start from September 28, 2008 against the Cards. A few of the 52 pitches he threw, were hard to identify. But I do the best I can.

stance: it was between Gen 54 (which has no bat wag) and Cano
(whose bat wag is really too fast)....

                    going with Cano

Don't know if it's too late to hop in the Kendry Morales talk, but I remember thinking about using D. Mietkiewicz's batting stance.

                        KENDRY MORALES @ theotherguy

never too late to hop in....

ok, I compared the two vs. his actual stance...

Mientkiewicz's hand/bat positioning is BETTER than the Aramis Ramirez' stance

his legs are crouched a lot more...
however...in Morales' real stance, from the left side, his back leg is almost stiff and his lead foot is bent at the balls of his foot....

so, I gotta stay with Ramirez' stance....
