Or, if u actually look at Saltalamachia from the side his back and front elbows are just about perfect, the only major issues are that the bat doesn't sit far enough behind his head in a horizontal position, and the other is that Salty's stance is not open at all....But neither is Crede's. I am teetering on Salty's, otherwise I would use Drew, and in the past has also used Derrek Lee. The thing's I don't like about Drew and Lee's stance is how open they actually are , where Longoria is hardly open at all. He basically moves his left foot just slightly to the side of his back foot. Timing mechanism most likely. Anyways, here is a video of Evan's stance from the side. If u have The Show on at the same time as this video then pause the video (around 0:25) when Evan comes set in his position, then move Salty's stance to the side with the R1 button just like Evan and then u will see what I mean with the comparisons. I did an extensive search on Adrian Gonzalez not too long ago, but the stance that I have seemed to settle on that is open is Russell Branyan. There were a couple of Generic stances that were also close, but decided on Branyan. See what u think. I don't have the game on at the moment but I can post the Generic stances next time I do, but like I said Branyan seems the closest to me. Later

Aki Iwamura is Kazuo Matsui. I matched it up with last nights Pirate game. its perfect.

Doumits the only problem with a stance because each side is different. from the left side I like Travis Buck and from the right his own stance works and would be spot on with movement in a crouched position.

EDIT: I think G. Jones wheres the small socks option under pants

            Carlos Santana (C)-Cleveland Indians

            Carlos Santana-W. Aybar

            V. Martinez is a very good #2, but the bat movement Santna has, is absent with this one....

PS: this is from Santana's LEFT side...
I don't bother checking a switch hitters' right side, for obvious reasons....

Thanks, Rod. I have missed your input and edits (CAPs, stances, etc.). You always seemed to make well-informed decisions on things.

Cater has changed his stance from a Hafner-like crouch last year to something along the lines of Mike Jacobs/Derek Lee combo this year. With that said, I didnt find anything that I liked for him, so I settled on Fox

Hey Carew I found Victor Martinez stance to actually be 100% PERFECT for Carlos Santana

He has the bat movement (where he moves the bat over his helmet just so perfectly like Santana in real life.)

And he has the double toe tape before the pitch (Which Santana does as well)

Santana clearly idolized V-Mart growing up..He plays his position, he wears #41, his stance is identical, and hey by luck he ended up on the Indians

nope! I checked V-Mart's stance and compared it to Santana's stance (from the left side)...and the deal breaker for ME, was the 'kick' with his lead foot...something that V-Mart's stance doesnt have, but Aybar's does:wink:

the clear idolization was not lost on me...from a Dominicano to a Venuzuelan....

but the front foot sold me

thats why posting doing stances and motions really can be an exercise in futility sometimes---things that one looks for, aint important or are overlooked by others...
