I'm using Jake Fox' stance...that was the one that seemed closest to me during spring training...I'm watching the Bucs game now...5th inning. Missed Alvarez' AB's to this point...will catch his next one, to see if that stance is still good or has changed

Ive been watching and without lookin at The Show, Alex Gordons looked pretty good. Ill check more later. And btw Victor Martinez DOES have the toe tap in the game, so he is perfect for Carlos Santana

Also, Tabata's stance I had at Pierre but after watching more, Stargell is nearly perfect.

              @ strut

I said 'kick' aka when the batter is on the ball of his lead foot...
              not toe tap....
and with that said, W. Aybar is correct...not Martinez

                  Re: BATTING STANCE/PITCHING DELIVERY THREAD

Stargell's stance is bent over---Tabata is basically upright from waist up...

Pierre's looks along the lines of the one that I chose...not good

I'm going with Beckham's for now...after watching Tabata's stance before he homered.

                    Re: BATTING STANCE/PITCHING DELIVERY THREAD

In Struts edits of Knights roster he has Alvarez listed as Kendry Morales stance.

Is that good? Or did you find a better one since Jake Fox wasnt good lol?

how about ryan braun for alvarez? granted i only used a little video, nothing extensive, but in a couple videos braun looked good. i just don't know how reliable that is in terms of an actual stance, i just figured i'd mention it anyway.

                        LMAO

                        Definitely NOT Kendry Morales....

I'm gonna watch the replay of the game in a few minutes...to watch at least two of his AB's. What I did since the last time I posted on Alvarez, I wrote down all of the stances that are in the ballpark--that had the slight crouch, slight open stance, hands at helmet height and some hand/bat movement--the basic precursors...I chose nine stances from that whole list....

we'll see what the final verdict is lmao

I didnt edit him to Morales. He hadn't played a game yet when those were released. Braun's doesnt look too bad either

                              Re: BATTING STANCE/PITCHING DELIVERY THREAD

well, Jack Wilson looks like the best one....

knees bent, top half of body kinda twisted inward and a little down, hands near his helmet

the camera view is offset to the right at a fairly large angle--so it looks like Alvarez has a VERY slight open stance--or basically none at all....

I liked Braun, and that stance works if you want to negate the crouch/load portion of Alvarez' stance...

in two of his AB's, that part of his stance (the 'upright' part), was done away with pretty quickly once he stepped in the box...and it was all crouch/load from there

                              what I science this is
                              LOL

have fun with whomever you choose

                                Jose Tabata

Looking back at Tabat's AB's in his major league debut, this guy has changed his stance already

hell, I know I'm not THAT crazy LOL

anyway, I went through the first round of stancs close to Tabata's stance tonight..then whittled them down to:

Vladdy, Nick Hundley and M. Montero

there are NONE currently in The Show that have all of his components...

                                take your pick...

I'm using Vladdy's...the bat, upper arm and shoulder movement sold me
