Re: pittsburgh Pirates, AAA, AA Edits

    Tree,

These are fantastic man! I am doing an RTTS with the Pirates (3B -- college position), as well as a Franchise (test) with them. As soon as Knight & Jim's release I will be going on with my final Franchise with them. Don't think you are on the only Pirate fan on here, I just got my second-year of 8-pack tix, so I am off to my first game on Friday and am fired up.

Between the park, the general team and players attitudes, the "attempts" to stay competitive in a market that is WAY above them (financially) and all the history of the organization... they just fit everything I think a baseball team SHOULD be (record not withstanding).

Also, they are the only team I know of, other than the Cubs, that when you tell someone you are a Pirate fan... they say "oh man, I'm sorry." Kinda makes you laugh and cry all at once.

EXCELLENT! i am fired up. I felt so alone on here, lol. I have an 8 pack plan too. I was at the opener and am going saturday night. Ya its tough being a fan, but it will pay off and everyone will jump on the bandwagon. I really like this group of guys, I have been a McLouth fan for a long time, I hope he continues his success. I am listening to the game right now its 4-2 in the 14th, Aramis just hit a 2 run HR for the cubs.

Keep posting about your franchise and let me know if you have anything to add or something to change...

....LAROCHE TIED IT UP WITH A 2 RUN SHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

about time he did something. haha ok I;m out.

Yeah, I like LaRoche... overall I think he is a solid addition. He always gets off to a slow start, and last season I felt bad for him honestly when fans were booing him. I even got into with the guy beside me when he started yelling about "LaRoche you bum!" I politely asked him when the last time he hit a 80+ mph curveball with a 6+ inch break was... he didn't like that and things got a bit "heated", he even asked me when the last time I did was... to which I replied "about 2 years ago in college, and obviously not well or I wouldn't be sitting here now arguing with you about this, I would be out there b1tching about you booing me!", but it was all ok. I bought him a beer to apologize and he didn't boo LaRoche anymore, so I guess it worked out.

I am with you, I like this group too. I think they have some legitimate young, solid major-league players developing too... I see McLouth, Morgan, McCutchen, Pearce (too many outfielders!), Walker (maybe) all becoming solid position players. The pitching will get better with age/time (still make "young" mistakes), and I honestly think Capps is a star in the making as a closer. He has had some rough ones, but I really think he has all the tools and the right mentality.

Nice talking with someone else that shares my "Bucco optimism" (my fiancee's term).

            So on Tree's list....

for each player, if there is nothing listed after the "label" does that mean we don't change it?

            for instance... some say

            Left Wristband: (nothing here)
            or
            Socks: (nothing here)

            etc.

            hope this makes sense

yes he is a third basemen now. Notice in the AAA edits he is a 3B/C, Third base as his primary position and catcher as his secondary.

but can anyone give suggestions to what pitches to give minor Pirates pitchers like Moskos, Burnett, Bullington etc.
