Do you mean will Knight be working on a recent SCEA roster release?

Man, it has to be a labor of love with the amount of detail and precision he puts into these rosters. I don't think I would have it in me anymore. I remember you had a blast last year, I am surprised you're not editing again. You must be pining for those days again .

I want too use the regular rosters that are updated through playstation network with all of Knights created players instead of the fake minor leaguers they provide. Didnt know if he was coming out with a file like that? For instance this coming monday playstation's roster update will have Rasmus, porcello, etc. i want to use their set with Knights created players.

Thank you for responding, just not sure if im wording it right !! sorry

Do you mean if Knight will be releasing updated rosters? If so, he won't be, he will have 3 rosters each with opening day rosters. There is a thread that tracks all transactions and you can make the changes yourself.

all 3 will have the full minors.
the first will have edits for correct lineups.
the second will have all scea stats except for minors because knight created those.
the third will be edited to knights liking.

Oh,Thanx. I thought he modified the ratings on the regualar players in the game, such as for example Jeter, pujols, etc. I guess he leaves the rosters as is and just adds minor leaguers and fixes lineups.

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09

Thanks for all of your hard work Knight and the rest of you guys that did all the work. These rosters are great!

Just noticed a couple of things on the Texas Rangers roster that you might address to make them a little better.

Catcher Adam Melhuse was released at some point and you still have him on their roster. You might either add Jose Felix, the high-A starting catcher, or Emerson Frostad, the AAA back-up catcher.

3B Travis Metcalf was claimed off waivers by Kansas City so he needs to be moved off the team. Esteban German was signed to a minor league deal and he is currently the starting 3B in AAA.

CF Engel Beltre, one of the most highly touted position prospects for the Rangers, was left off the list and will likely be a great major leaguer in a few years. You might consider adding him for Guillermo Pimentel, who I am unable to locate on any of the minor league rosters in the system.

CP Pedro Strop is currently the closer in AAA, but was left off the list. He will likely be in the big leagues at some point this season. You might consider putting him in the spot of Clayton Hamilton, Andrew Laughter, or Brian Gordon, who are not as highly touted.

A couple of SP's who you might consider are Kasey Kiker, in AA, or Blake Beavan, Kennil Gomez, and Wilmer Font, in A. All four guys could move up the organization quickly and could be really special.

Feel free to do as you like, but here are some suggestions.

The 3rd roster will be edited.

I had no idea that he was doing that for the Minor League players, also. I would rather have incorrect lineups than attributes that aren't accurate. I knew he was doing this for the Major League players, but Minor League lineups change so much anyway that this doesn't even need to be done.

You should PM your thoughts to Knight. He's asked for people to PM their requests to him.

I think that Beltre should definitely be included.

I agree. I would leave off Gordon and Hamilton first.

A couple of SP's who you might consider are Kasey Kiker, in AA, or Blake Beavan, Kennil Gomez, and Wilmer Font, in A. All four guys could move up the organization quickly and could be really special.
I agree with this, also. If I could only select two of those four players to add, I would select Kiker and Beavan.

Would you say that the following scouting reports are still accurate for Kiker and Beavans?

                        2008 scouting report:
                        Kasey Kiker
                        Ht: 5-10 Wt: 170
                        Position: SP Bats: L
Throws: L Date of Birth: 11/19/1987 Birthplace: Phenix City, AL

Background: The Rangers have been careful with the undersized Kiker, first keeping him on a strict pitch count in his pro debut, then holding him back in extended spring training to start his first full pro season last spring. The idea was to keep him to 20 starts in 2007, and Texas preferred to have him peaking at the end of the season rather than in July. It worked perfectly, as he repeatedly ran his fastball up to 97 mph in a Midwest League playoff game.

Strengths: A bulldog who wants the ball in big spots, Kiker has the stuff and tenacity to make up for his slight build. He pitches comfortably at 91-93 mph and has the ability to elevate the ball in the zone to get strikeouts when needed. He has a plus changeup with some tail to it. He always has thrown the changeup with good arm speed and commanded it much better in 2007.

Weaknesses: Kiker's 75-78 mph curveball has tight downward rotation and is a plus pitch at times, but it remains inconsistent. Though he has a strong lower half and keeps himself in great shape, his size raises questions about his ability to shoulder a starter's workload over the long term.

The Future: Kiker will start 2008 in the hitter-friendly California League, which will be a major test for him as a flyball pitcher. His three-pitch mix gives him a shot to be a mid-rotation starter in the big leagues by 2010.

                        2008 scouting report:
                        Blake Beavan
                        Ht: 6-7 Wt: 210
                        Position: P Bats: R
Throws: R Date of Birth: 01/17/1989 Birthplace: Irving, TX

                        Background:
Beavan was Baseball America's 2006 Youth Player of the Year after serving as the ace for the U.S. junior national team, which included striking out 11 in a shutout against Cuba on Cuban soil. He followed his standout summer with a dominating senior season, which included an 18-strikeout perfect game, and bypassed a commitment to Oklahoma to sign with the Rangers for $1,497,500 right before the Aug. 15 signing deadline.

Strengths: Beavan has an imposing, workhorse frame and a swagger on the mound. He pounds the zone with a heavy fastball that sits at 92-94 mph and reaches 96. His mid-80s slider can be a plus pitch at times as well.

Weaknesses: Beavan tends to use a lower arm slot with his slider than he does with his fastball, causing it to flatten out. He should be able to tighten the pitch by cleaning up his delivery, and his velocity could climb if he learns to finish pitches instead of cutting himself off. He'll need to develop his nascent changeup to stick as a starter. He can be too brash at times, and he got a taste of humble pie in instructional league.

The Future: Some scouts think Beavan profiles best as a two-pitch bullpen ace with a nasty streak, but the Rangers will give him every chance to start. He figures to make his pro debut at short-season Spokane in June.

Actually, I'm not setting the ratings for the minor leaguers for lineups.
They are set for how they should play....lineups for the minors..will be as they may off of that.
Those ratings are off of stats/scouting reports and leveled for their spot in the organization.

I think Travis Snider is on the Free Agent list. I'm also pretty sure that knight decided to make his own Travis Snider cuz the one in the game had a crappy potential rating... Knight made him better, stronger. He has the technology.
