Re: Full Minors Roster for '09

I think the best way to do Jair is a runner with little movement, that way it's still a pitch that could be put anywhere in the zone (I've seen him throw it high, where it flattens out even more), and it doesn't have crazy movement, which his fastball doesn't really have. I'm not currently looking at him in the game though, so I'm not sure how much room you have for something like that.

The only thing I hate is that by taking away the 4 seamers and replacing them with sinkers or 2 seamers, it really does make it hard to pitch up in the zone with certain guys (although you can still do it well with cutters and runners). I guess we'll just need to hope they fix that last year by putting more movement on the 4 seamer, especially on low 4 seamers.

Can't wait for the final set

Razr, i dont know if this has been addressed, but in the original rosters, Todd Coffey of the Brewers has a 4 seam FB, and Change, and a Slider. This year he has gone to just a Sinker-Slider repritore(sp?). Ive seen every Crew game this year and his Sinker tops out at about 93-94 mph, and slider anywhere from 84-87mph. Thanks.

thanks again Knight, I can't wait until the full roster with default SCEA ratings or your personal ratings are released!

Also, does this new release with the dodgers have RAZR's pitching edits?

BTW, Mets cut Rob Mackowiak according to Adam Rubin. Marlon Anderson also might decline his assignment to AAA and become a free agent. You also have Josh Peterson and Jason Cooper, who are basically career AA guys, on the Mets. Same with Shawn Bowman, who is a career minor leaguer at best.

If you're interested in replacing those guys with guys who are a bit mroe impactful, they should be replaced by Jonathan Malo, a utility infielder who played a lot for the Mets in Spring Training, Zach Lutz, a 3B who is their #14 prospect according to BaseballAmerica who is in high A-Ball, Bobby Kielty, who had a very good ST for the Mets and is in AAA, Jesus Feliciano, a similar guy to Peterson and Cooper but who is in AAA and was last year as well, much more of a shot at the majors, and 2008 draft picks Javier Rodriguez and Kirk Niewenhuis.

And just a suggestion, but Argenis Reyes and Nick Evans could probably use a bit of a ratings bump, although nothing big.

Jason Cooper is not a career AA, he is career AAA. He is the current leader in games played for the Buffalo Bisons, so he was brought back in good faith to the fanbase in Buffalo. I think he should stay, because he brings a realistic flavor to that team, even if he never gets called up.

Hey Knight great rosters as always.

But I was looking through them and Elvis Andrus is wearing number 17 instead of number 1. So I thought I would let you know so you can fix it for your next roster in case you didn't notice.

Thanks again for the rosters btw. Can't wait for the full set.

Also wondering about Kyle Skipworth's potential rating. I haven't been following much all I know is he was their first pick. But is he not supposed to be that good, or was there not enough B prospects and that was the reason for the C potential rating?

                Hey Knight...

I just checked out version 2 of your roster and it is looking terrific. You seem to have the Phillies spot on but I had one question for you...John Mayberry is rated extremely low with a D potential.

I know he is starting the season in the minors, but he is considered a solid young up and coming player with tons of power...any particular reason why you rated him the way you did?

Thanks again for all the hard work! I am so excited for your final roster release!

Hey Knight great job on the Dodgers

Just a few things that need to be fixed

Yhency Brazoban was released so you need to release him and make another player......I suggest Greg Miller because they decided to re-sign him to a minor league contract after he was released...Unless you have someone else in mind

                  Also RAZRr

Broxton does NOT throw a change up......We "WISH" he did but he doesn't

......I don't know how you came up with that one, If anything give him a cutter or his 2 seamer back

......Unless it was meant to be a mean joke LOL

Knight, I just wanted to mention how great your Nick Green CAP came out. It looks just like him! And anyone looking for his stance Jose Guillen is perfect. In fact I compared a lot of your CAP's to SCEA's and I thought yours looked much better. You can tell you obviously took a lot more time with yours. Thanks much. Later

                      Hey Knight...

Seems like you know a little about what goes into the creation of the game. I was just wondering why there's a 5 pitch limit on a pitchers repertoire?

                        Razr,

I noticed Javier Lopez has a 2-seam fastball. I'm pretty sure he just throws a straight 4-seam fastball. I've never seen any type of tail or sinking type motion in his fastball, so I'm pretty sure it's just a straight 4-seam and not a Running FB. Thanks. Later

P.S. I'm a huge Sox fan so if u need any help on anything don't hesitate to ask. I'm playing with these rosters so I will let u know if there might be something else that might need addressing.

Knight... I noticed two things with FMv3Early:

                          1. The Nationals rotation has only four members. I thought I heard Jordan Zimmermann got the fifth spot, but I may be wrong. But the rotation is only four guys.

                          2. NW Arkansas Naturals (Royals AA affiliate) has a player in the lineup simply named J D, J for a first name and D for a last.

I can't believe all the work you have put in on faces and names. It's truly astounding!

He did win the fifth spot in their rotation.

                              Hello Knight,

Thanks for all your hard work!

Will you be lowering the attributes of fake players as you did last year? I realize how easy it was to do updated transaction thru out the year and knowing which players were fake and which ones were real. I see that you using initials, will this be your new system?

                              Be safe.
