My wife and I went and saw Strasburg pitch here on Friday night. It was the worst conditions I've ever seen for a baseball game: 40 degrees at first pitch, and a constant drizzle (at times a pour) the entire game. Didn't phase him a bit...still topped out at 97, 99 with a slider at 84 and a change (or curve--couldn't tell from the angle of our seats) at 80-82.

It the differential between the slider and fb that's so devastating. He can pretty much spot any pitch wherever he wants at any point in the count. I figured this guy has to be overhyped, but he was phenomenal--lived up to all of it. He faced the #1 offense in UNM, and he K'd 14 and pitched a complete game shutout in those conditions. Just straight filthy.

I can see why some might think his mechanics might lead to a break down. He has this whip action with his wrist at the end that gives him the extra giddy up. Whether his arm survives...time will tell. Right now...he's worth every penny he earns. And there are no other #1 picks that I can think of where I could say that.

Oh the long night ahead of me Once the roster comes out I will be one of the guys putting in all the walkup music. Anyone else with me? haha

That's exactly what I'll be doing, assuming Knight releases them before 10 p.m. pacific time. Having to get up at 5:30 Monday morning means I have to be in bed by 11, otherwise I'm toast at work. If the rosters are released around 7 I should get a lot of the walkup and HR tunes done tonight.

It's weird that I'm almost more excited about setting the music up than I am playing a season! I'm guessing I'm not alone there, though.

I have also heard that he has bad mechanics, but only from some. Some sources say his mechanics are fine. I will continue to not worry about it and hope he falls to 4th. haha

RAZR & Strut...with the 10pm timeline scenario...about what time/day will it be when the two of you get finished? thanks so much for all the hard work. because of it, i'll probably restart a franchise 4 or 5 times before it sticks!

a lot of people say he has poor mechanics and will be prone to injuries, similar to Mark Prior

They do a good job of showing how similar his mechanics are to Mark Prior and is overall very informative. I'd be very wary of taking him 1st overall but maybe he's worth the risk to an organization that is desperate for pitching help.

I had a question real quick...The historical stat glitch; is it just a visual thing you see when you flip the player card or is it in game and franchise bugged as well. Like if you used these rosters and say you wanted to be the yankees, Texiera would break the HR record and get the awesome in game animation(assuming there is one...at least a curtain call I would imagine) before AROD would?

Quick question...Ok...I have been wondering about this for a while. I know you can't create a roster and send it w/music ready to play. However, lets say you download the 'Real Player Walkup Music' crated by n8rocekrasu..and I also have the same music download and assign it to all players to the roster I like . When you download my roster, I think the players will still have the music file associated to them, without them being able to play. They will only play if you have the same music I downloaded and assigned. Could someone confirm or help with this? Thanks in advance

I doubt it since playlists are unique as well as marker sets - but it's worth a try haha

you would have to upload the Game Data and Save Data to an external site and post the d/l link

the Game Data is the install so it would be like 2 GB and the save file would be like 2 MB for the roster and what slot in the playlist is assigned to what player

also you would have to download and add the same songs to your own playlist in the same order

I have heard of some people trying this with some success but very very minimal success.

A lot of scouts are saying he's better than AJ Burnett right now.

ONE scout said that...not ALOT.

I also heard that Alex Escobar, Alex Ochoa, Lastings Milledge, Bill Pulsipher, Jason Isringhausen, and Grant Roberts were CANT MISS prospects.

It is a visual thing as well as a tracking thing. So, for example, with ARod, if u hit 100 HRs you WOULD NOT get congrats for hitting 600 HR
