Here are some of the Pirates top Prospects and where they are projected to start the year. Hope this helps.

1) Pedro Alvarez (High A or AA), 3B, ETA 2010 - Comparison - Aramis Ramirez: A left-handed power hitting third baseman, Alvarez has a very very high ceiling and is almost big-league ready. He could be a big part of a devastating future Pittsburgh lineup. He's recovering from a hamate bone he broke in 2007, but all reports are positive so his strength should be back soon.

An offensive sleeper for late 2009, depending on how deeply the Pirates shake up their roster, and likely to be playing every day by 2010.

18) Brad Lincoln (AA or High A), RHP, ETA 2010 - Comparison - Aaron Harang: I’m afraid he might be the next Bryan Bullington, but it is too soon to give up. Needs another year past TJ to be sure.

I understand these lists are subjective, but I would definately point out that Brad Lincoln is generally considered to be among the top 5-6 prospects in the Pirates system. He had TJ surgery, but was highly regarded going into the amatuer draft (definatly more upside than Bullington had). I can't believe how many publications are completely leaving Josh Horton off of their lists. Scout.com didn't even have him on their list of top 50 prospects for the A's. I think it's because he's only hit three home runs in his year and a half in the minors. Horton went from being a top prospect, and one of the top players in college baseball for three years, to relative obscurity in a little over a year after being drafted in the second round in '07.

've been a huge fan of your rosters as your the only reason i'm able to play franchise mode. I have one favor to ask...The Mariners C Jeff Clement for some reason only has a C potential, it was the same case last year, so everytime i would download a new set i would have to create a new Clement so his potential would be an A. Now dont get me wrong, in his short time in the majors he hasnt exactly lit it up, but he was a top 5 pick a few years ago and has tons of potential. I would only ask you to please save me the trouble of creating him 16 time's this season and add a replacement Clement. His attributes in the game are pretty accurate so I wouldnt recommend changing them.

I would greatly appreciate this...and to you and everyone else involved, you guys are awesome! Thanks a ton.

Knight, When you do the rosters do you do jus attributes or do you do stances/euipment as well? This will be my first year with the roster, really excited...

Strut will be doing the stances(If he has the time...otherwise, I might do an update...but I won't delay the initial release for that)

....NYM...the roster will be set for Opening Day....with the correct 40 man rosters..

Well I've been setting up the potentials(player potentials).....and I'll compare it with tomorrows release.
Then I will make a decision on which to use....and start moving guys around and then editing.
