Re: Player Edit Thread 09 (Music, stances, accessories, numbers, etc.)

So far on the RedSox I know the following players are listed as having Generic 1 for their stance or delivery - but all these guys have their actual deliveries.

    Justin masterson
    Ramon Ramirez
    Jed Lowrie
    Jason Bay
    Javier Lopez

But somehow they still manage to have Papelbon and Delcarmen pitching from windups and not from the stretch........hopefully they atleast address Papelbon and give him his stretch and staredown.

Edit to one of my earlier posts.

Kaaihue looks better with the Hanley Ramirez stance. Even though the step is a little to big, it is much closer since he is standing more upright.

Okay, I've got a few random edits and I'm now going through team-by-team and editing those players with a Generic 1 that aren't hidden. I've been using the information posted by bhs16 in his thread about hidden and generic stance. Big thanks to him. I've only completed one team so far, but plan on doing more tonight and the rest of the weekend. If you have any special requests or comments let me know.

                Stance: Juan Uribe

                Daniel Murphy
                Stance: Abraham Nunez

Re: Player Edit Thread 09 (Music, stances, accessories, numbers, etc.)

OK, I think I'm up to date and done for the night. Going through some of the posts, it seems as if a lot of suggestions are rival to each other. Since I want the reference to be easy for people to see and edit, I want only one or AT MOST two stances displayed.

                  So:
If I receive one suggestion, I use it.
If I receive two suggestions but one is more favored by another poster, I will use that one.
If I receive two suggestions and neither is more favored, I post both.
If I receive three or more suggestions, I go with the most favored, or I look at the stance and pick for myself.

Thank you to everyone who has participated so far.

                    Blue Jays

                    David Purcey
                    Delivery: Cole Hamels
I'm going to have to disagree here, as Smoltz is a much better delivery for Percey.

No problem. Here are the other Stance/Delivery edits I have for the Jays: (Starred ones I would like you guys to look at.)

                        SP
*R. Halladay - Adam Eaton (Closest I could find with both Delivery and Stretch)
                        Dustin McGowan - Yovani Gallardo
                        Shaun Marcum - Randy Wolf
*Jesse Litsch - Aaron Cook (I don't think there is one that close)
*Brian Wolfe - Danys Baez OR Generic 1(Not Sure)
                        *Scott Richmond - Generic 3

                        RP
*Brian Tallet - Generic 10 (Doesn't pitch from stretch right away, but perfect for stretch)
*Jason Frasor - Keith Foulke (Again, closest I could find)
                        Brandon League - Scott Schoenweis
*Jesse Carlson - Billy Traber (Not going to get his exact one)
*Scott Downs - Eddie Guardado (Used Sanchez last year, but it got upgraded this year)
*Jeremy Accardo - Octavio Dotel (I think it's closer than his delivery)
                        Shawn Camp - Dan Wheeler

                        C
*Rod Barajas - Dustan Mohr (Not sure)

                        1B

                        LF

                        CF
                        Vernon Wells - Skip Schumaker

                        RF
*Joe Inglett - Johhny Peralta (He holds the bat there before the pitch)

I took a look at most of them. I'll post the ones I didn't agree with. Some I couldn't find any videos of.

                          SP
                          R. Halladay - I would either go with his own or Jim Johnson (looked good from the windup)
Shaun Marcum - I would use his own
                          Jesse Litsch - Ramon Ramirez
                          Brian Wolfe - Couldn't find

                          RP
                          Brian Tallet - Rheal Cormier
                          Brandon League - Couldn't find
                          Jeremy Accardo - Couldn't find
                          Shawn Camp - Couldn't find

                          C
Rod Barajas - Aramis Ramirez or Mike Napoli (I'm leaning towards Napoli)

                          1B
                          Lyle Overbay - Tad Iguchi

                          2B
                          Aaron Hill - Kenji Johjima

                          3B
Scott Rolen - I would go with his own but Renteria is pretty good too

                          LF
Travis Snider - Aubrey Huff (I might change my mind on this one)

                          RF
Joe Inglett - Chris Gomez (closest I could find)

Freddy Sanchez - They gave him a stance that is nothing like his, again. Kendry Morales stance is about spot on towards Freddy's. It's like a LITTLE off, but barely. It's as close as you're going to get.

K-Rod - Obviously you're not going to find a perfect one, since his delivery is so unique, but Carlos Marmol's is somewhat close to his. It looks better than what he currently has anyways.

Brandon Phillips - If Ryan Doumit's stance had him dropping the bat up and down his back, it would be perfect for Phillips, but they didn't add that motion. Felix Pie/Angel Berroa are what I've used in the past for Phillips, once again not perfect, but the best I could find. There might be better ones this year though, as there's a lot of new stances.

Matt Garza - Javier Vasquez or James Shields. It's close to these two. I don't understand why they give him the one they gave him, I've never seen him use an overhead motion at any point.

Joe Inglett - Chris Gomez (closest I could find)
Halladay: Johnson's looks terrible from the stretch, but so does Halladay's own delivery.

The rest, I'm going to stick with my own, but it'd be great for others to look and test as well.
